If you are a regular follower you may have noticed that there hasn’t been daily posting for a couple of months. I have been dealing with life in general among other things. However please know that there are still plenty of posts scheduled for here as well as an overhaul coming in the next couple of months. I thought I would slowly roll out some of the new stuff. In the mean time I thought I would update you all a little on our life (and some inside info about some giveaways.)
Back to School
We have started back to school here and as always I am homeschooling! It is a bit scary at times but we are enjoying it for the most part. I love relearning things (yep when you homeschool it helps to have refreshers) as well as watching the kids learn things. One of the best things about homeschooling is the fact that we decide on the lessons. That is huge for me because it means I can add in religious studies or anything else.
Our Health
First thank you all of you who prayed about my aunt and mother. They are both doing much better although in my aunt’s case she is doing as well as she can for someone of her age. As far as the kids go they couldn’t be healthier and I am dealing with my depression much better than I have in a long time. My new meds are working and all I am working towards now is a better balance between everything. I am certain that will always be a work in progress.
Giveaways, Blog, Oh My
I already told you that there will some changes. The first is the monthly camera giveaways, they will continue throughout this year but I haven’t decided if I will continue you them next year. I know you all enjoy them but I was thinking of maybe doing them less often next year. I have two more back to school giveaways coming over the course of the next two weeks and be on the lookout for a couple of huge giveaways with my friend over at Blushing Reads. She has plenty going on as well. The rest of this year will be filled with some great reviews and plenty of giveaways leading up to Christmas. I will be posting during December but I am going to be honest and tell you that most of those will be scheduled as I am going to enjoy the holiday season.
I live in a small Georgia town that you most likely have never heard of and I LOVE it! My house is more than full as I am a single mother of four & caregiver to my aging mother and uncle. Lover of all things Outlander. Goes to the beat of her own drum woman.

I’m very glad to hear everyone’s heath us improved, including your depression. I know all too well what an impossible battle that is. I can’t imagine homeschooling and blogging and juggling everyday life, amazing. Thank you for the generous giveaway chances and I hope things continue on a good path.

You are so welcome. It is an uphill battle but it is getting easier everyday and I no longer feel like I can’t get out of the bed.

Our family is getting ready for back to school also. We don’t homeschool but both kids are in Catholic schools (high school and elementary school). I love that you focus on the holiday season – we try to do that also. Glad to hear your family is doing well.

Thank you! The holiday season was such a big deal for me when I was growing up that I try so hard to do the same for my kids.
