As you all know I’ve been on a diet for most of my life to be honest and abundant it’s not necessarily hard but it’s not easy. Usually what happens is that I will go on a diet for a while and then eventually gain all the weight back. However I have discovered a new way to diet and it is called Lifesize Portions. Lifesize Portions is not your ordinary diet is that the first thing that they tell you is not to deprive yourself of anything, which for a southern girl like me this is perfect.
Lifesize Portions gives you all the tools that you need to learn to portion your food properly. In fact all that you have to do is use a Lifesize Portions program and you will certainly lose weight. Using the tools is very easy. There is a chart that helps you determine how much Lifesize Portions you should get and there are these wonderful measuring cups/spoons that really are the key to the whole system.
If I want to have carbs I simply choose the carbs cup, fill it with my carbs, and then put that on my plate. The portion sizes are more than enough to keep you full. There is even a cup for goodies and a cake server for cake and pies! How many other diets have that? The best part about Lifesize Portions is that I am eating and drinking foods that I normally eat and drink. There are no special foods, shakes, etc. I can even have soda! I have lost a few pounds and I will share with you over time what all I loose. The reason I didn’t today is because I am a classic stress eater and the holidays stress me out which means more food goes into to my mouth. In fact it doesn’t matter if I am hungry or not I will keep eating.
Another great thing about all of this is that Lifesize Portions has really helped because when I get a snack I use the goodie cup so I am at least trying to get it all under control. If I am eating a little candy bar then handy chart tells me how many I can have. The same with bread or anything else that is already portioned out for you. Lifesize Portions help you learn how to portion your food correctly!

I learned that these portion tools are great for controlling how much you eat. However I don’t agree with everything this website claims “eat whatever just not so much.”

Because there is a difference between just losing weight, and living a healthy lifestyle. You can portion control Mcdonalds and lose weight, but is that really healthy? It’s not just about losing weight for me, it’s living a healthy lifestyle where exercise is involved as well, not just limiting what you eat.

Eating healthy is a great goal. However, our goal is to cut down the calories you eat and get you to your proper weight and keep you there your entire life.
We believe that if you are overweight, losing weight is the healthiest thing you can do for yourself.
If you want to debate whether chicken is healthier than red meat, get down to your proper weight first, and you can debate later! Until then, eat what you want and don’t feel guilty about it. Just eat the right amount and you will lose weight.

I learned that you can still eat the foods you love, just change the portions size of what you eat. One of the biggest challenges I’ve had with other programs is preparing a meal for the family that would fit in to my diet as well. I also learned that they have a brand new way to stop grazing and mindlessly snacking during the day. Sounds great!

This system looks great and I feel blessed to have found this post. What a coincidence that I implemented portion control just this month (in the midst of the holiday season) after years of trying to cut carbs. My attempts have always failed because I just love carbs too much. Adjusting to smaller portions has been a challenge but I’m confident that I’ll soon see positive results.

Good luck! Smaller portions can be hard to adjust to and that is why I love this system. Even though the portion sizes are smaller my plate is still full of food so my brain doesn’t think about the smaller portions of each. All it sees is the full plate which then means that when I eat it all (in the correct portions) I feel full. I have also learned that using a smaller plate helps. Whenever I have a snack using the Goodie measuring cup I put it in a small bowl. The bowl is for baby food but because it is so small my snack fills it to the top so my brain thinks I am having a bowl full when I am actually having half a handful.

I would first like to thank you for being so wise and thoughtful for giving this wonderful opportunity to losing weight. I weigh over 400 pounds and have been trying to find some kind of solution to staying on track all my life. My weight has fluctuated from 200lbs all the way up to over 400 pounds now. I have tried the low carb diet, fit for life, and even starving myself. My last resort I feel is portion control. So I can stay on track with the correct portion instead starting good and then forgetting and going over board.

Good luck on your weight loss journey. I know how hard it is and I will tell you that this is the easiest diet system I have ever used. I have tried them all and I always end up gaining twice than what I loss. There is no depriving yourself with Lifesize Portions. I eat whatever I what to eat but make sure I use the measuring tools. I have even gone to buffet restaurants and can enjoy a meal without going overboard. I have learned to recognize what is the right portion. So I can enjoy meals with family and feel lie I am on a diet. My Lifesize Portions tools sit right on my counter so I now automatically grab them and use them whenever I eat.

Let me join in this discussion by saying congratulations for making the decision to try to lose weight again, and for turning to portion control. Lifesize will work for you and will work rather quickly. But also, I do suggest you speak to your doctor before starting this or any weight loss program.

With this system, I can make a lifestyle change of not what I eat, but how much I eat. I think I should concentrate on eating the right amount of food with my family instead of a separate “diet” meal along side the meal I made for the rest of the family. I still can make good wholesome meals but I don’t have to take out all the flavor or buy crazy, expensive ingredients. If this system has good, complete directions, lifesize should be a helpful addition to anyone’s eating habits.
