So many times we focus on the darkness that we never see the smallest light that is shining in the corner. Maybe even just a small beam of light through the curtains in the darkest of rooms. That light is God and he is doing his best to tell you everything is going to be okay.
This long weekend as you are busy enjoying the last of the summer break and just relaxing remember to take a little time and look at the light in the darkness. Remember that there are people out there for whom that simple light is almost impossible to find. Take the time to say a short prayer for those who are in need or simply can’t pray for themselves. Ask God to shine his light on the world so that we may all see and feel the love and peace that light brings.
As I am enjoying the last few days of my little vacation I can promise you that you all will be on my mind. Those of you that leave prayer requests, please know that I do pray for each and every one of you. I am so grateful that you have found your way here to my little blog and I hope that in some small way I bring you a bit joy, laugh, and comfort.
Be a Light in the Darkness
Leave your prayer request below and work towards being a part of that light in the darkness.
I live in a small Georgia town that you most likely have never heard of and I LOVE it! My house is more than full as I am a single mother of four & caregiver to my aging mother and uncle. Lover of all things Outlander. Goes to the beat of her own drum woman.

After being basically home bound for several years due to a severe Lupus flare, I have lost almost all but 1 or 2 of my friends. I have so little family that it is nice to know that I have someone else in my corner whispering in God’s ear about my health and well being! Thank you so much!

Robin,
Know that God has a great plan for you and that I am always in your corner!

This is a beautiful post! You really hit the nail on the head. Sometimes we get so wrapped up in our own nonsense that we forget to thank God for all our blessings. Every evening when I do my daily wrap up with God, I always try to remember to thank him for all my blessings. I have many!
Rita, you always bring us a lot of laughs, joy, comfort and even wisdom. Thank you!
Rita says
Thank you Tammy.I try to be as honest as I can with you all. Sometimes that takes being little TMI.

I really like what you wrote about the light being God telling you that everything will be okay. Sometimes it’s difficult to see that light….but it’s always there. Thank you for the inspiration.
