You all know how much I struggle with my Spanish. My children and husband speak it perfectly but I have a problem learning all the ins and outs of the language. That is why I am always reading and learning as much as I can in Spanish. When I was offered a chance to review Lighting-fast Spanish by: Carolyn Woods because of my relationship with Mom Blog Society I jumped at the chance.
Lighting-fast Spanish is designed for both kids and families. While the book itself is simple in design it is what is on the inside that counts. After you read through the Introduction you are given a quick lesson on Grammar. In Spanish words can be masculine or feminine, which is where I tend to have a problem. Mrs. Woods also gives a quick note on word order which is my other problem area. you then immerse yourself into 15 different Conversations such as “Getting Dressed”, “Time for Dinner”, and “Around the House” just to name a few. These conversations help you learn the basic words, their meanings and usages.
One of the best parts of the book is at the end. There you can do activities and play games. The games really help you learn the words and usages. Yes they are children’s games but trust me once you do the Hokey Pokey in Spanish you won’t forget the words.
Don’t want to learn Spanish? Prefer a different language? That’s okay because Carolyn Woods offers other languages as well.

I live in a small Georgia town that you most likely have never heard of and I LOVE it! My house is more than full as I am a single mother of four & caregiver to my aging mother and uncle. Lover of all things Outlander. Goes to the beat of her own drum woman.

I can understand Spanish being spoken but can’t speak it anymore. I have always wanted to brush up- nice review!

Sounds like a great way to pick up a little extra Spanish. I would love to learn it because my kids are learning it at school (and I don’t want them knowing more than me, lol)
