How do you like your coffee; is it one of the most popular ways?
Coffee is one of the most regularly drunk beverages on the planet, in all of its forms. If you are one of these drinkers you’ll probably have a preference for how you like your coffee, but is your preference amongst five of the most popular ways in which people like to take their coffee.
Do you like to use your Breville coffee machine to make a delicious latte, or do you prefer the ease of an instant cup? For most people their coffee tastes are a combination and can depend on the situation or the time of day. So what are five of the most popular ways for people to enjoy their coffee?
The ease of instant
It may not always be the choice of the coffee connoisseur, but instant coffee is ideal if you are in a rush. If you’re about to leave for work and you just want your hit of morning caffeine then it’s simple to be able to but a spoonful of coffee in a mug, add boiling water, and milk and sugar if required, and stir. You also have the benefit of a wide choice of different varieties to suit all tastes.
The fun of latte
If you think that coffee is a sensible no-nonsense drink then you have obviously never had a latte. It’s an espresso and steamed milk delight, and you can even add some extra fun with a little latte art for a quirky finish. Non-fat milk is the easiest to use to make a perfect textured steamed milk, but full-fat milk often makes for a tastier drink. If you are young at heart then you’ll probably be a latte fan. The health benefits black latte offers in terms of losing weight and gaining energy make it all the more popular version of latte.
The froth of a cappuccino
Some people are confused as to the difference between a latte and a cappuccino. The fact is that the espresso shot is exactly the same; it’s all about a difference in the milk. Whereas the milk in a latte is textured with only a little froth sometimes added for decoration, a cappuccino normally consists of one third espresso, one third froth and one third textured milk. The other difference between a latte and a cappuccino is that whilst a latte is served in a cup, a cappuccino is generally served in a glass.
The lightness of an Americano
Thought to have been developed due to a perceived American taste for a weaker coffee, the Americano has all the taste of the espresso but is less dense as it’s made with boiling water and not milk. This often makes it a more refreshing drink than a latte or a cappuccino.
The ice of it
If the weather is warm you may prefer a cool drink; that’s no problem. You can try brewing your coffee cold, using cold instead of boiling water, then leaving it to brew for twelve hours in a cool place before decanting through coffee filters in a sieve, and producing a fresh cool coffee drink.
Alternatively you can brew your coffee with boiling water and then leave it to cool for an hour before placing it in a refrigerator for a further two hours and again producing a delicious cool beverage. You can even add some ice for an extra cool punch.

I’m a latte lover. If I can’t have a proper latte, I make do with lots of milk and a little sugar.

To be honest, I’m a rare coffee drinker. I make a small pot once in a great while. But when I do I like it with sugar and milk. I used to remember my mom would make café con leche for us. Which was essentially a cup of milk, sugar, and a few sprinkles of instant granules to give it flavor. I still think that’s yummy! On an even rarer occasion I like a good iced mocha. Heck, anything chocolate is good in my book. I like to bake with coffee too. I stumbled upon a great chocolate cupcake recipe that includes coffee. It makes it absolutely fabulous!! A few steps in the making of it, but worth it.

I don’t discriminate when it comes to coffee, lol. I love iced coffees, lattes, frozen coffees and even instant coffees. I’m more particular when it comes what I put in my coffee. I prefer flavored creamers and milk.

my fav is the good ‘ol days with a percolator, but I’ve been using drip coffee maker for a long time. I haven’t found any coffee I like using a Keurig, etc. I love my coffee strong with 2% milk. I wanted to try iced coffee, but haven’t all summer!

Cold in the summer, hot in the winter and always with toaster strudel on the side!
