How many of you have children that love to do crafts? Wouldn’t/t it be great it some of their crafts had a way of helping others? Well this wonderful company called Little Loving Hands has a way for them to do crafts, have a good time, and then turn around and give their craft to a child who needs to be reminded that there is good in the world. That someone out there is thinking about them. They select a different organization and theme each month so there is always someone to help!
Getting started is easy, you simply order a box from Little Loving Hands. The subscription is $25 a month (although there are 6 and 12 month subscriptions available as well as a 1 time purchase option) and when it arrives there are two crafts inside for you or your child to do. These crafts come with instructions and are very simple. We had some little wooden hearts and a pillow to make. Neither took very long, in fact waiting for the paint to dry on both is what took up the most time.
The pillow was easy to assemble; all we did was paint some designs on the fabric. Then once that had dried we tied the little strings together connecting the two halves. Making sure to leave a couple of strings untied so we could stuff it then tying off those strings. A little fluffing and we had a pillow. There is a little spot on the back of the pillow where you or your child writes in their name.
The wooden hearts were as simple as painting them whatever color we wanted and then doing some designs on their bag. Once they had all dried we put the hearts in the bag and pulled the string shit. It couldn’t have been any easier.
Taking both crafts we put them into the provider mailer and mailed directly to Enchanted Makeovers which is a non-profit organization whose mission is to create environments and educational programs for women and their children at shelters in all 50 states. They transform the shelter environment with handmade capes, pillowcases, dolls, and special programs.
As you can see a place like Little Loving Hands is something that is so needed. I never thought anything about children in that situation I am sad to say. I bet other people haven’t either. Now that I am more aware as are my children I hope to be able to more for them.

I live in a small Georgia town that you most likely have never heard of and I LOVE it! My house is more than full as I am a single mother of four & caregiver to my aging mother and uncle. Lover of all things Outlander. Goes to the beat of her own drum woman.

That is a really amazing idea to spend time, and a great activity, with your kids during those long winter nights when it’s too cold to spend time outside !

I’m seriously considering this subscription for my daughter for Christmas. She loves crafts but this would be a great way to make things but not clutter up her room with the products.

This is a nice subscription box. I really like this idea especially if it is done together. Crafting really does bring people together, and many times in the periods you are sitting quietly doing a craft you learn about your child the most.
