Grad student and cocktail waitress Evelyn Merkholtz has plenty to deal with. Too much to deal with. So, when her runaway best friend calls with a mysterious and urgent request to join her in Scotland, she is secretly more than happy to drop everything and oblige.
She’s faced with an ancient curse, an adorably hunky villager, and a super hot (but possibly murderous), Highland warrior from the 18th century – and realizes that getting burned at the stake is a really bad way to get out of writing her thesis.
When I first started reading this I thought it was going to be about Evie and Sam and while it is about them the story focuses on Evie’s friend Piper and Lachlan the Highland warrior who has found his way into modern times. There were times that it was a bit slow and I honestly didn’t like Piper at first. She seemed so weak and I just wanted to slap the h*** out of her! I really did but as the story progressed I found that I was drawn more into the story of Piper and Lachlan more than Sam and Evie. I will say that Lost Highland ends in a way that will leave you running for the next book. You just have to know what happens, how did he get back, how in the world did he get hurt? Not to mention is any of these people ever going to get married and be normal? Stay tuned as I will be sharing all of the books in this series with you!
I live in a small Georgia town that you most likely have never heard of and I LOVE it! My house is more than full as I am a single mother of four & caregiver to my aging mother and uncle. Lover of all things Outlander. Goes to the beat of her own drum woman.
