I am pleased to be taking part in this amazing hop brought to us by Review Wire Media and Chatty Patty’s Place. I could be cynical and say that love and the month of February is not my favorite time of year. After all it can be a bit tough when you’re single.

I mean let’s get real. No one likes to be surrounded by people in love when they are alone. Truth be told that is how I felt for a number of years. Then I slowly began to change my mind. This year I plan to spend the holiday at a nice hotel with a spa. Who says the month of love is only for couples? I am treating myself to Valentine’s I always wished my ex would have given me. I am going to sleep late, order room service and enjoy a massage.

I really don’t like Valentine’s Day anymore. My husband is dead.
Your plan sounds fantastic, Rita. I am happily single and I always treat myself with chocolates & flowers! 🙂
I enjoy the chocolates and the romantic movies that air everywhere on Valentine’s Day. I have been alone for many years now and I don’t hate that as much as I used to or miss the romantic mood or gestures that are associated with the day. I think that I just got old

I enjoyed Valentine’s Day when I was much younger, but I could do without it now.
I don’t really love nor hate Valentine’s Day. I think it should just be a day of love. My anniversary is the week before Valentine’s so we typically celebrate with a nice meal at home and watch a movie vs going out for the holiday.
I love everything about Valentines Day. My love for it started when I was a child in school having Valentine’s Day parties. I also am old school and love mail so I think giving valentines cards to my friends every year was apart of that. The day to me is very much about love, not specifically about a significant other. I celebrate with my husband AND my children. And yes I love chocolate. Not a fan of sending flowers though.
I like people having an “excuse” to show others their love.
Too much commercialism for any holiday anymore. And besides, celebrations of your significant other on days other than expected means so much more to them!
Tell me what you enjoy (or hate) about Valentine’s Day.
My ideia is not original but its the fact that nobody should need a worldwide day to treat that one special person!
