This month has been full of ups and downs. It is funny that as I typed that sentence I realized that it says a lot but then at the same time it doesn’t say enough. This month marks my third month on the Shaklee 180 program and I have learned to love so much about myself that I don’t where to begin.
I am a stress eater, I always have been so when the health issues with my aunt increased and then she passed away I just knew that I would be headed for trouble. Surprisingly I did not! The entire time she was in the hospital I used the stairs instead of the elevator. Although I must admit that the very first day of walking up and down 8 flights of stairs was rough. I only ate in the cafeteria once, every other time I ate one of Shaklee Bars. I didn’t over indulge or over eat.
That turned out to be a good thing because my weight loss stalled. I am pretty sure it has to do with the stress and not anything with the program. While I didn’t lose anything, I didn’t gain anything either.I used to hide away from mirrors as well. Now I proudly walk right up to them. I have a long way to go before I am anywhere near the goal weight I want to be. Before that would have bothered me but not now. Now I know that this journey is only getting better and better.
For the first time in my life I love the way I look. The Shaklee 180 program gave me not only the tools to help with my weight loss but the support system that I so desperately needed. While my family is supportive let’s face it, family can make it very easy for you to give up. At least they can make it easy for you to make excuses. While on the program there is no room for excuses just the support that reminds me “I can do it.”

I live in a small Georgia town that you most likely have never heard of and I LOVE it! My house is more than full as I am a single mother of four & caregiver to my aging mother and uncle. Lover of all things Outlander. Goes to the beat of her own drum woman.

Stress can certainly effect weight loss, I experience this too. You did have a stressful month so give yourself a break and reward yourself for your success because you took the stairs and you leaned on family. We’re here for you and I hope this month is a great month for you! I’m cheering you on and very proud of you!

Thank you so much Sommer! Knowing that I have the support system through Shaklee that I have makes me want to try even harder.
