How many of you dye eggs for Easter? We do and have always used PAAS® Easter Egg Dyeing Kits. We even use the little cut-outs on the back of the PAAS boxes to hold the eggs. In fact it is the brand we have always used, or at least the only brand I can ever remember using. I was able to sit down with the kids and dye some eggs (which were used at a function and not saved for Easter) recently.
We used the same PAAS® Color Cups but also so new Velvet Powder that I had never tried before. There were also some PAAS® Deggorating Doodles which the kids really loved. The set up for the cups was the same as it has always been, you add Heinz Vinegar, drop a color tablet into the corresponding colored cup and off you go. You can add a little water to get a lighter color. As always they make some wonderful colored eggs. The PAAS® Deggorating Doodles were actually the biggest hit because the kids could draw on the eggs.
I told there was an app as well and this was our first year using it. I must say it was a ton of fun.We used this app last year and the kids had so much fun decorating their eggs and sharing them. The app is really easy to use and benefits Make-A-Wish, which makes it all the more spectacular. To use the app all you do is decorate your egg and then share it. When you share you donate $1 to the Make-A-Wish Foundation!
Heinz Vinegar and PAAS Easter Egg Dyeing Kits have partnered to bring you the Easter Egg Decorator app, available both online via desktop or laptop computer and through the iTunes App Store. Now through March 31, when you decorate and share a virtual Easter egg with family and friends using the free app, Heinz and PAAS will donate $1, up to $25,000, to Make-A-Wish®.
You can find the app for the iPad on the iTunes Store or use the online version which is here: www.heinzpaaseaster.com

I live in a small Georgia town that you most likely have never heard of and I LOVE it! My house is more than full as I am a single mother of four & caregiver to my aging mother and uncle. Lover of all things Outlander. Goes to the beat of her own drum woman.

We always use Paas coloring kits. I love that they are making a donation to the Make A Wish foundation. It’s an even better reason to buy Paas kits this year. Plus the kids will love the app.

We also use Paas coloring kits, but now I am extremely intrigued with the Velvet Powder you mentioned… I guess I am off on my own hunt to find this now!

Love this! I usually don’t dye eggs for Easter but I am thinking of trying it this year with the kids. My boys love hard boiled eggs so I think they will enjoy dyeing them. This kit looks great!
Jimmy Arcade says
I enjoyed dyeing Easter eggs when I was younger. My wife and I now buy the all natural dyes, so that we can feel good about eating the eggs afterward.

What a great idea for an app. I love when somebody makes a useful app and the fact that this also makes a donation to a cause is a definite bonus.

PAAS is a tradition for Easter. You have to get PAAS to color eggs. I love this tradition and can’t wait to color eggs with the kids this year.
Denise Taylor-Dennis says
We use PAAS too. I will have to check out the app and decorate an egg. Make a Wish is such a great organization.

My family and when I was a child always used Paas to color our Easter eggs. I used Paas this year to color my niece’s Easter Eggs and we had so much fun. I would not use any other kit to color Eggs!

We never really have a tradition of coloring eggs for Easter in my home but I enjoy learning that Paas is the choice for getting the job done well! The app sounds like a wonderful idea! I’m glad there is a donation to the Make-A-Wish foundation!

It wouldn’t be Easter without the Paas kits and tinted dye fingers for Easter service;)
I did not know they had partnered with Heinz though! Looking forward to my 32nd year as a mom to do eggs with my kids…I dont think kids ever tire of things like this…my 13 year old still gets so “eggscited” about it!

We have always used Paas since I can remember, I was very pleased to see they partner with Make a Wish Foundation. I noticed that when I purchased our box this year!

Coloring eggs has long been a family tradition. Dark rich colors were bought from local European Deli’s.
I must admit that the little stick -ons from the dollar store… that you add with boiling water is cheating …but also easy peasy decorating fun.
