Meet Mace: Our Boxtroll #TheBoxtrolls #BuildABoxtrollSweeps

I have been telling you all about how we have been making our very own Boxtroll and now I am thrilled to introduce you to Mace! We worked hard to make sure that Mace was as unique as everyone of  The Boxtrolls! We hope that we have managed to do that. He is rather colorful as you can see. We used our Mace box because all Boxtrolls are named after the boxes they wear and this was the only box we had that really had a name on it.

We had a blast putting Mace together and the entire project had us rolling in the floor. The kids kept having to watch the preview over and over so they could get it right. I am not sure it we got it right but we got as close as we could and loved ever single second of it. The Boxtrolls! is from theCoraline and Paranorman and tells the story of Eggs, an orphaned human boy  lovingly raised by a community of quirky, mischievous creatures who live in a cavernous home beneath the streets of Cheesebridge.  When the town’s village decides to come up with a plan to get rid of The Boxtrolls, Eggs ventures into the light, going above ground where he meets and teams up with Winnifred and together they come up with a plan to save Eggs’ family. We are counting down the days til September 26th when the movie premieres!
