As you all I know I an a sucker for British television dramas, I just love them! I watch Masterpiece Theater often and I recently was given the chance to watch Midsomer Murders Set 22 from Acorn and I will tell you that watching this was the highlight of my little vacation I took a few weeks ago. There is something so intrguing about these mysteries and I love getting wrapped up in them.
The cozy villages of Midsomer County reveal their most sinister secrets. Inspired by the novels of Caroline Graham, the series stars Neil Dudgeon (Life of Riley) as the capable Detective Chief Inspector John Barnaby, with Jason Hughes (This Life) as his earnest, efficient partner, Detective Sergeant Ben Jones. Guest stars include Warren Clarke, Joanna David, Genevieve O’Reilly, and James Dreyfus.
THE MYSTERIES
The Sleeper under the Hill—Barnaby and Jones investigate a group of Druids in Midsomer Mow.
The Night of the Stag—Local bootleggers come under suspicion after the disappearance of a government inspector.
A Sacred Trust—Vandalism and violence send shock waves through Midsomer’s cloistered nunnery.
A Rare Bird—The detectives investigate whether competition between ornithology enthusiasts led to murder.
I must say that I was a little nervous about how these would be since John Nettles left but I was very surprised and enjoyed them a lot. I think have Tom’s (John Nettles) cousin step and take his place was a great plot idea and while it took an episode or two for me to get use to it I was really happy with each episode. I will say that A Sacred Trust was my favorite one although it was sad.

I live in a small Georgia town that you most likely have never heard of and I LOVE it! My house is more than full as I am a single mother of four & caregiver to my aging mother and uncle. Lover of all things Outlander. Goes to the beat of her own drum woman.

I keep thinking I have got to watch this series. I also love British shows. I really think they do a great job with dramas and I love the comedies. I just get a kick out of their dry sense of humor.
