Mineral Hygienics

I was introduced to Mineral Hygienics a few years ago and tell you that I fell in love with them then. They have been one of go-to cosmetics brands for a while now. So when they asked me to try out something different I said absolutely! If you are new to the mineral cosmetics scene then let me tell you that one you

There are so many reasons why Mineral Hygienics. One of the  biggest though is that it lasts all day. I live in the south so you can imagine what summer does to make-up. I don’t have to touch up a million times a day. I received the Go Glam Beauty Bundle which is an awesome starter kit. It gives you more than enough to get started. Also you can get a free foundation sample!  I’m going to break down each item for you.

Let’s start with some blush. The color is Mystic Mauve and is perfect for someone who wants a little hint of color. It is sheer and perfect for something a little glammier (yep I just made that word up) than your everyday blush. The color is awesome and while I am not a huge blush user I enjoy this one.   

White Eye Shadow is perfect for highlighting your eyes. I love using this color on top of my eyes just under the brow. Also it is perfect for when you need to soften up a darker shade. Just add the white first and then your darker shade and blend until you get the tint you want.  Another perfect thing is this white is not really shimmery or glittery so it compliments more than anything.

Black Diamonds Eye Shadow is great for a glam look. It has some shimmer to it (not too much) and gives your eyes plenty of depth. I like black shadows but I will be honest and say it took me a while to figure out how to use them properly. Too dark and you look like you got a black eye. 

Now we move on to Merlot Eye Shadow and I will tell you this is favorite of the three colors. I have never used this particular shade before and with my blue eyes I was worried. It is so awesome that I am sure it will be my new favorite. None of the shadows crease in your eyes which is something that makes me super happy. I hate creased eye shadow. 

Can you say Temptation? That is the color of this natural lipstick and all I can say is glam! If this shade doesn’t catch someone’s eye I’m not sure any other will. It goes on smoothly and wears well. I will tell you though that I don’t wear it often but that is a personal thing. I am a huge hater of lipstick. It is one of my OCD things.

The Full Eye Shadow Brush makes blending your eye shadow a breeze. It picks up the colors easily and feels smooth when you put it to your eyes. I have used brushes that felt super stiff and hurt my eyes in the past. The brush cleans easily and it doesn’t drop your color all over the place. Tehre is nothing worse than getting done and seeing make-up all over the counter.

The Angled Blush Brush is one that I am still learning to use. I know that sounds crazy at my age but it is the truth. Again I love how it feels against my skin and the way it applies the color. I am sure I will love it even more when I get it perfected.
