I love finding books that help you ways that maybe you didn’t really think you needed help. Mommy MD Guides is just those sort of books (so are the Daddy MD Guides!) Mommy MD Guides has four books that are available: The Mommy MD Guide to Pregnancy and Birth, The Mommy MD Guide to Your Baby’s First Year, or The Mommy MD Guide to the Toddler Years each chock full of information that you need.
I received the The Mommy MD Guide to Pregnancy and Birth and I have to say after reading so many books on this particular subject I have found the one book that makes it all much easier to understand. The guide was written by Rallie McAllister, MD,MPH and Jennifer Bright Reich both of whom did a fantastic job. One of the things I love the most is that this book is full of quotes from real moms,all of whom happen to be doctors as well.
The guide takes you from week one to going home after birth and talks about things like the size of your baby at each week to products that are recommended. It is real mothers and women talking to you as though they are your friends and you are having lunch. Throughout the book are Mommy Time boxes that have all sorts of tips and ideas for you in addition to everything else.I love that I didn’t get so overwhelmed with information that I just stopped reading. This is a book that you could easily read each week as you go and follow along with your own pregnancy.

The great thing that I like is that the writers of the books are actually moms so they know what we are experiencing. It looks like they are big on cord banking, which is something to look into.
My kids are much older now, but I really wished I had books like this to read when I was pregnant, I had soooo many questions and NO answers!!!
