I thought I would take a little time each Monday morning and share something fun with you. It could be a simple little story about something that happened or maybe just a picture. Just a little something that will help make the week begin a little bit brighter and on a better note. Mondays are extremely busy for me and I always feel like I am drowning on that day of the week.
Not to mention that I can only have 1 cup of coffee a week now and I have chosen to have it on the day that I need it the most. I had to cut back drastically because of my blood pressure and blood sugar. So sit back and (I hope that you will) enjoy these little posts each week.
This is HARD!
I will tell you all that learning to have only one cup of coffee a week is hard! I had two this morning and now my blood pressure is through the roof (this could be because of the workload today too) and I have the worst headache! I have learned my lesson though and to be honest I am okay with drinking just a little coffee because it means I can have a soda or two. Oh well this will get easier!
I live in a small Georgia town that you most likely have never heard of and I LOVE it! My house is more than full as I am a single mother of four & caregiver to my aging mother and uncle. Lover of all things Outlander. Goes to the beat of her own drum woman.

I was an all day coffee drinker for years. I had to quit for the same reasons you do. I only drank water for a year. It’s boring. My mother flew in for a visit and got me hooked to unsweetened tea. Never had a lick of trouble with tea. I still get caffeine but non of the affects. I have cut down on my tea drinking though and I’ve added more water to my diet. So I do feel your pain. When I quit coffee it took me a month to feel like I wasn’t a zombie…,

Kudos for giving up coffee most days! I’m not sure I could do it. I don’t drink more than one but really need that pick-me-up in the morning.

keep at it and it will definitely get easier as you get stronger!!

I’m sorry you have to cut back to just one cup of coffee a week. I’m sure that must be a hard habit to change. Lucky for me, I already just have one cup of coffee a week – on Saturdays after grocery shopping. It’s my treat when I get home.

Yikes! I just had a physician suggest I reduce my coffee intake to help with my anxiety and sleep problems. It’s such a catch 22- I’m exhausted so I have a coffee which keeps me awake and makes me tired all over again. She said I could have a cup before noon and should be fine. I plan to start next week and see how I feel. I’m hoping the headaches aren’t too bad. Good for you!
