I thought I would take a little time each Monday morning and share something fun with you. It could be a simple little story about something that happened or maybe just a picture. Just a little something that will help make the week begin a little bit brighter and on a better note. Mondays are extremely busy for me and I always feel like I am drowning on that day of the week.
Not to mention that I can only have 1 cup of coffee a week now and I have chosen to have it on the day that I need it the most. I had to cut back drastically because of my blood pressure and blood sugar. So sit back and (I hope that you will) enjoy these little posts each week. Boy last week was a bit hectic and then the weekend hit and I wished for Friday all over again!
A Burst Pipe
Saturday morning the bathroom sink in the kids bathroom decided the pipe underneath needed to suddenly explode. No problem, you just use the shut off valve and turn off the water. WRONG! The dang thing wouldn’t turn at all. So I had to go outside and shut off water to the entire house. Then I called the plumber who couldn’t get here until today, so I called another one who wanted $250 just to come out since it was a Saturday. So we spent the weekend playing tag with the water. Running outside to turn it on when we needed it and then off when we didn’t. You have no idea just how much water you use until you don’t have it readily available. So now I am waiting for the plumber to show up today.
I live in a small Georgia town that you most likely have never heard of and I LOVE it! My house is more than full as I am a single mother of four & caregiver to my aging mother and uncle. Lover of all things Outlander. Goes to the beat of her own drum woman.

That sucks! I agree that you don’t realize how much you rely on something until it’s not working. I hope the plumber can get the problem fixed quick.

Oh, I’ve been there! Lol, our bathtub hot water handle broke off once & it was on at the time. We had to turn off the water completely (in the basement, not outside.) Finally, I found the monkey wrench & used that to turn off the hot water in the tub. For several days we had to use the wrench to turn the tub water on & off.

We’ve had several leaks in our house, so I can sympathize. I hope the plumber was able to fix it.
