I thought I would take a little time each Monday morning and share something fun with you. It could be a simple little story about something that happened or maybe just a picture. Just a little something that will help make the week begin a little bit brighter and on a better note. Mondays are extremely busy for me and I always feel like I am drowning on that day of the week.
Not to mention that I can only have 1 cup of coffee a week now and I have chosen to have it on the day that I need it the most. I had to cut back drastically because of my blood pressure and blood sugar. So sit back and (I hope that you will) enjoy these little posts each week.
Owie!
I check my blood sugar everyday and this morning Maddy asked me why I stabbing myself with that needle. It came out more like “Mommy why are yous jabbing wifh that weedle” but you get the idea. I had to explain what I was do and why. So she thought she would help me by throwing out all the sugar in the house. Now I buy sugar in bulk and keep in a large bin. This is just more cost-effective and I don’t have to buy it all the time. That bin that had 25 lbs of sugar in it is now empty. Well at least we won’t get any sugar whatsoever until I get the store. That’ll teach me to explain things better.
I live in a small Georgia town that you most likely have never heard of and I LOVE it! My house is more than full as I am a single mother of four & caregiver to my aging mother and uncle. Lover of all things Outlander. Goes to the beat of her own drum woman.

Agave is a great alternative if you have blood sugar issues! I have to be really careful about sugar intake! 🙂

I’ve been trying to give up sugar too, because my doc wants me on an anti-inflammatory diet. I’ve been so shocked that sugar, or high fructose corn syrup is sooo many things.

Oh no, that’s too bad she threw out all the sugar, but cute that she’s trying to help.

I am of the mindset if it isnt natural, dont use it. A bit f sugar isnt bad for you, and yes it is amazing what all has sugar in it. Around here it is salt I watch for since hubby had a heart attack (and cancer) now the salt in things will drive you around the bend.

lol, I’m diabetic & I know about the effort to explain blood sugar to kids. But it sounds like you guys had an expensive lesson!
