I thought I would take a little time each Monday morning and share something fun with you. It could be a simple little story about something that happened or maybe just a picture. Just a little something that will help make the week begin a little bit brighter and on a better note. Mondays are extremely busy for me and I always feel like I am drowning on that day of the week.
Not to mention that I can only have 1 cup of coffee a week now and I have chosen to have it on the day that I need it the most. I had to cut back drastically because of my blood pressure and blood sugar. So sit back and (I hope that you will) enjoy these little posts each week.
This past Saturday I took the entire day off to do nothing but watch old movies with the family. We did watch a couple of new movies that I wish I hadn’t wasted my money now. what is it with movies nowadays? They all seem to be either just plain bad or they have a great story line but so much gore that I can hardly get through it. I miss the days where you knew the person was dead, maybe even saw the body and some blood but you didn’t need to see everything that happened with the splatter and full effect. You didn’t need it because the story line was more than enough to keep you interested. I am one of those that just don’t need the shock value. I need a great story with excellent acting.
FYI… I didn’t watch those sort of movies with the kids. I wouldn’t let the see anything like that. I watched those with Ma and my uncle after the kids went to bed. As I reading what I wrote I realized people were gonna be like “OMG!! She lets her kids watch movies that have splatter in them!” Of course it’s hard not to have that in any movie nowadays. Even some cartoons have it.

We watch a lot of the older movies on AMC or something similar. There are so many classic movies out there, and watching one os always fun. I watch the Walking Dead but I am the only one watching. I havent seen a ‘new’ movie in ages.

I know, right? Movies are going down the tubes for me. We did watch a really fun family movie recently — Paddington! It’s one of my own new favorites now. 🙂

Family movies for us lean toward summer blockbusters or us sharing an-oldie-but-goodie like “The Breakfast Club.

lately all movies seem to be huge explosions and action sequences you can’t even follow or they are remakes (that should not be remade!). It’s seems like a long time since I’ve seen a good original movie.
