I thought I would take a little time each Monday morning and share something fun with you. It could be a simple little story about something that happened or maybe just a picture. Just a little something that will help make the week begin a little bit brighter and on a better note. Mondays are extremely busy for me and I always feel like I am drowning on that day of the week.
Not to mention that I can only have 1 cup of coffee a week now and I have chosen to have it on the day that I need it the most. I had to cut back drastically because of my blood pressure and blood sugar. So sit back and (I hope that you will) enjoy these little posts each week. Well for us school will begin tomorrow since today is Labor Day. I’m not sure why we celebrate this day but we do. I mean I understand what the holiday itself represents I am just sure what we celebrate for but the truth is there was a time when that didn’t matter. When I was out int he workforce Labor Day usually meant I was getting an extra day off with pay. Boy those are the days to miss right?
No Pay for Mom!
Moms hardly ever get the kind of pay they would deserve. Could imagine what you would make if suddenly whomever decided that being a mom was an actually job (I mean like one where there was pay because trust me I know it’s an actually job) and then paid you each week. What do you think that you would earn? Would get paid on salary or by the hour? My guess is by the hour and most likely still wouldn’t represent all of things that we do. For me I am the mother and father to my kids, a teacher, the nurse who takes care of boo0-boos, the lunch (breakfast or dinner) lady who feeds everyone. Not to mention the chauffeur, and so many more that I am certain that I am forgetting. So today I am taking the day off from everything except being Mom. After all it is my favorite job title ever!!

I am taking the day off too! But it is true that Mom’s do not get a day off, but I love being a Mom and being with my kids. Thanks for sharing.

I would estimate that if Mom’s were paid for their time all Mom’s would be millionaires..no more poverty..can you imagine
