August is over and September is finally here. I love September because it usually means that fall is coming soon. Fall is one of my favorite times of the year. The weather is cool enough for sweaters but not overly cold. Short sleeves can still be worn without you looking crazy. It is also when all the pumpkin spice stuff makes it way to the stores.
Don’t get me wrong, summer is great but I am more than over the heat. It got super hot super early this year and feels like summer has been going on for six months here in the south. I am just ready for the day to be down to the sixties and a little more comfortable.
Getting Older
Yesterday was my birthday and I have to tell you this year it was a bit bittersweet. Normally, I don’t care about getting older. It happens and I don’t feel like I am 46 most of the time. Although this year I felt old. It was a good day though. I spent it with Ma and my uncle not doing much of anything. That evening I had a nice outdoor dinner and celebration with some friends. It was all rather lowkey and made it so much more enjoyable.
Shows & Activities
Honestly, this month I re-watched some Vera. I haven’t seen anything that I wanted to watch so I watched an old favorite. Any suggestions for new shows that are streaming? I did try to watch The Handmaid’s Tale but I couldn’t get into it.

I live in a small Georgia town that you most likely have never heard of and I LOVE it! My house is more than full as I am a single mother of four & caregiver to my aging mother and uncle. Lover of all things Outlander. Goes to the beat of her own drum woman.

Mostly a boring month. I did have a nice birthday dinner with friends and got to be a teacher’s assistant for an Air Plant class at the botanical gardens. Usual swimming 2 to 3 times a week with friends.
I have not had any problems with Rafflecopter.
Thanks for the contest.

Not a lot happened in August for me. I’ve been redecorating my screened-in porch, so that I can enjoy it when the weather gets cooler. I’ve also been learning about astronomy and how to use a telescope that was gifted to me years ago. It’s really fun!

August wasn’t great. We lost one of our dogs to heart failure. I think that made it reasonably hard to enjoy things, but hopefully this fall out will get a little better.

During august my Mama got covd from my grandson. She immediately went to the dr and he prescribed the medication for covd. She was sick but thankfully has fully recovered. I was sick shortly after her but mine was just fever. We are hoping to see a well September and cooler temperatures.

My month was busy. It just went by so fast. I wish I could slow it down.
Should have been celebrating my granddaughter’s 9th birthday, but she had to cancel 3 times.
And my daughter’s whole family got Covid.
Now they’re clear, so we’ll try to do a party for her.

Belated 46th birthday! I’m 46 too…47 in December! Those sparkly heels caught my eye, I need them in my life lol! I’ve had quite an interesting month. My mother in law passed away so we were in the UK for the funeral, and then my brother came to stay for a few weeks so it’s been quite hectic!
Best wishes,
