Can you believe it is the end of July already? Where has the year gone? While the year is quickly passing us by, I hope that y’all are out there living it. We will be headed back home soon and I am excited for that but I am also very nervous. I had some personal Come to Jesus moments while I was away and I know that there are things that I need and want to change.
I plan to do that as I return home but it is always easier said than done. I have far too much negativity in my life from outside sources. That is something I am going to change. I can’t have that as it brings me down. I don’t need someone else’s issues anymore. I have more than enough of my own. My problem is that I struggle to tell someone they are being negative or that I don’t want to hear that. Usually it is someone I close to. I have no problem telling strangers they are too much. I guess because I will never see them again.
Goodbye Vacation
This vacation was everything that I needed it to be. Some time with the kids without a lot of other worries hanging over my shoulders. We just took the time to enjoy ourselves knowing that any issues would be there when we got home. I didn’t spend hours on the computer or phone every day. I was present and there for every little moment. I had one night out without the kids and then we visited some amazing places. It was one of the best vacations we have had in a while.
Shows & Activities
Honestly, this month I really haven’t watched a whole lot of anything new. I did see the new Jurassic Park and I will say that I am not sure how to feel about it. I liked it but I felt like they were trying so hard to connect all of the movies together that I struggled at times with it.
3 Favorite Blog Posts From the Month
- We had a night out in Greenville that I will never forget. It was so much fun and I know now that there is so much more to do and see there.
- Learning to feel better about yourself is so important. It is something that I spent years struggling with and still o on occasion.
- Visiting the cancer center was one of the hardest things I have ever had to do. It was scary but made me appreciate life a little more every day.

I live in a small Georgia town that you most likely have never heard of and I LOVE it! My house is more than full as I am a single mother of four & caregiver to my aging mother and uncle. Lover of all things Outlander. Goes to the beat of her own drum woman.

My month is ending with me knowing I didn’t feel the best in the world and aching all over at times and actually getting cold a few times. Me getting cold is unheard of while going thru menopause, so I took my temperature and I do have fever. Probably have gotten covid from my Mother. I will do a test in the morning to determine.

I am so glad that your enjoyed your vacations and I certainly understand about all the negativity, hard to get passed it when it’s coming from every direction! My month was okay, I guess, still have lots of family having health issues and if something can go wrong it does so I have to try to get everyone past that but it makes things an uphill battle. Anyway, here’s hoping everyone has a wonderful August! Have a glorious weekend!

I have been super busy trying to keep my family and pets cool in this heat wave were are in 112 degrees here and lot of wildfires around us. I’ve been avoiding the terrible heat outside! July is the worst where I live. I’ve been crafting and playing games online. I’ve been doing a bit of reorganizing too, so that I can get to my Halloween and Christmas decor easier when the holidays get here.

Rough month as I discovered I had a huge unexpected unpaid bill that took up all my savings. Work has been decent and personal life has been ok, so overall financially it was awful and everything else was just alright.

Family. August is our family month. At least it’s a little more family than normal. We have a huge family reunion at our house the first Saturday in August. At least 100 people and more fun than we can handle. Laughter, stories, music, games, food, beverage, and Zoom’s to include those who couldn’t make it home. It’s a raving good time and we all look forward to the next one as soon as the current one has ended!!
