Wow! I can’t believe that June is over. Isn’t that crazy? We are on the last day of the month which means the year is halfway through as well. Tomorrow is the beginning of the big holiday weekend and that means there is so much to do. For us it means also getting ready for vacation but I will get to that in a moment.
Ma went to the lung doctor and got her nodule and stuff checked out. He thinks she just has sleep apnea which is great. Yesterday she went and had a lung functions test done. We are waiting on those results. She still has her sleep study to do. As far as the nodule goes, he said we were just going to watch it. It is too small to be of any concern right now.
So great news for her. My uncle’s biopsy came back on the polyps they cut out during his colonoscopy. One was 15 mm in size and the doctor said they had to cut it out in pieces (EWWW!) It was some big word I can’t pronounce and forgot to ask the doctor to write down.
Basically it was pre-cancer. The doctor said if he had waited another month or two he most likely would of had full blown cancer. That means he has to have another procedure done in September to be sure they got it all and that nothing new is growing. At least we got it.
Vacation Here We Come
Next week we head out on vacation and I am so excited. I am more than ready for this trip and to spend some time with the kids just enjoying life. Don’t worry I will still be working but it will be in the evenings mostly. We have a lot planned and I intend to enjoy every single second of it. We are waiting until after the holiday to leave so we are not stuff in holiday traffic.
Shows & Activities
They added some extra episodes to the Sister Boniface Mysteries which I am ore than thrilled about. This is a show I enjoy so much. sister Boniface is a nun (of course) who is also the crime scene analyst for the police of Great Slaughter. I mean, come on with a name like that you know there will be plenty of murder. This is a spin off of Father Brown and worth a watch. I watch it on BritBox via my Prime Video subscription.
I have also been enjoying ObiWan Kenobi but admit I am a few episodes behind in this one. It has been so good and I am hoping to get caught up this weekend. This is one I have been enjoying with the kids. However, amongst the television watching this weekend, we have a lot going on.

- Throwing a fantastic birthday party for your kids is not always easy nowadays. Gone are the days were a clown was all you needed. Now every year it seems you have to get bigger and bigger. Not to mention more creative.

I live in a small Georgia town that you most likely have never heard of and I LOVE it! My house is more than full as I am a single mother of four & caregiver to my aging mother and uncle. Lover of all things Outlander. Goes to the beat of her own drum woman.

Overall, my month was good, my son Derek came to visit before he moved to Florida and my granddaughter Jada is home from college until August and we have been visiting and chatting on the phone which is always nice. My grandson Alyjah came with her today on a visit and I can’t believe how tall he has gotten! Nearly 6 feet tall at 16, we all had a lovely visit and I hope to see more of them both before school starts again

Lots of doctor visits for my daughter, she is went from stage 4 to stage 3 on her kidneys, which the doctors say is fantastic and we finally got it to see a cardiologist to find out what to do about her heart…she has a stress test on the 15th and we go from there! My mom had a endoscopy test, that went well and we are waiting on results! I finally got to the eye doctor…I can see, now with glasses of course but I can see. They still have to decide what to do about a knot in my eyelid and they have to keep an eye on some floaters in the back of my eye, but nothing worrying there! Still waiting to see specialists on my other issues, so news on that front! Otherwise, everything is about the same! Glad to here, things are going so well with you and you’re family! Have a great vacation and a wonderful time with your kids!

I did have a very positive month. I was looking forward o June 29th, marked 2 years of the beginning a food journal, with intentions of getting healthy & hoping to lose a few pounds. I had not stepped on the scale in almost 10 years, so, I made the decision to stay away as I went on on my journey, those numbers always had a negative impact on me throughout my life. Having seen many positive results & changes in my body, I stepped on the scale & decided I would do it every 6 months, To my surprise, my weight was the same as it was 30 years ago. Upon dropping 4 sizes, I am very proud of my accomplishments.

June started out scary. Someone very close to me was diagnosed with bladder cancer back in April and she had surgery last month. The doctor was afraid that it spread past the lining of the bladder, but the follow up went well. The doctor believes he got everything, but a second surgery is scheduled in two weeks to make sure. If she is given the all clear – she will have to have a cystoscopy (scope through the bladder) done every three months as the cancer can come back quickly.

If I am being honest, this has been the worst month of my life. We just had a tragic loss of our new puppy a few days ago to top off other events for July 2022. We got a ton of support from friends and family, which was very touching and amazing. The highlight of my month was the few days we got with him which we will always cherish.
I am hoping August will bring better times for our family.
Thank you for the chance to win
