March has been nothing but doctors, doctors, and more doctors. I swear I will be so happy when all of this is over. Maybe it’s not over, but at least he calmed down a little bit. I need things to even out and slow down so we can have a break from the medical professionals. We need a few days of nothing going on so we can catch our breath. Sadly, at the moment, that is not an option for us.
As I said in an earlier post this month, I am waiting to have a heart cathe done and then will find out if I need surgery or something less invasive. On top of that, my uncle is actually having surgery in May on his leg and we are still waiting to find out if he will have back surgery or not. He has some issues in his lower back and they are trying to decide if this is part of his psoriasis syndrome or something more. Some of the damage can’t be repaired. At least they don’t think so. That means he has been living with the pain every day for a few months. It has been a struggle just to get him to this point.
Then my poor mother has to have her gallbladder taken out. Of the three of us, her surgery is going to be the easiest. We’re not sure if she will have to stay overnight or not because of her age and medical issues, but all in all, it should be an easy surgery. I had mine taken out several years ago and it was a breeze. Afterwards, with the “no more normal poops,” it took some getting used to, but I will handle it.
What Else
In other parts of my life, things have been going well. I set up a new planner that I will be sharing with y’all at some point this month. I also managed to get caught up and a little ahead on a few other things. I have been getting up very early and managing to get a little work done while it is quiet. I don’t go online at all. I just sit and write an article or two on my calendar, and then later on I edit, upload, add images, and whatever else it needs. I have found that it really helps. The images above are the little vacation I have planned for us once the surgeries are over. It’s a month at a friend’s beach house up north. I haven’t been in a number of years, but it is quiet and gives us a chance to recover.
Shows & Activities
I am still in the middle of watching Midsomer Murders and am still enjoying it so much. There is just something about the quiet way that John Nettles works each of his cases. I recently watched Murder in Provence as well. It is a three episode season and I am praying there will be a second season. Finally, Ma and I watched The Lost Wife of Robert Durst and the 20/20 episode about him. that dude was a weirdo of the highest order. I’m convinced that the three people he did kill were not the only ones. He just got away with it for far too long to not have been cocky enough to kill others.

1.I love a good chicken pot pie. Especially on the days when it is chilly and rainy like the last few have been. There is so much comfort in this one little dish.
2. Waiting for the doctor’s office to call and make appointments or give you test results is the worst thing in the world. There really should be a better way of doing this so it is not as nerve racking for patients. For once I would like to leave the office with the date and time of something important. I mean I know they are busy but my poor nerves can’t take much more.
3.Learnign what fragrance notes are is important to helping you select the best possible scent to wear. You don’t want something too subtle but too strong is even worse. Finding the right airing will make all the difference.
Run the Year Update
For March I got 15 miles in altogether. This was due to doctor’s appointments and various daily symptoms. When I can’t breathe I can’t walk. There are going to be times like this that getting out there just isn’t possible.

My birthday was March 6th and it was lovely to receive all of the good wishes from my family and friends. The rest of the month has been uneventful for me, a lot of binge-watching programs on streaming sites mostly. I don’t drive or travel so I am pretty much house-bound not much difference from when the pandemic restrictions were in full swing. I lead a pretty boring and sedentary life

It was an eventful month. I discovered that my cat Jasper’s diabetes was back after being in remission for two years. When I tried to take him to the vet, to be examined, he objected and bit me badly on my left ring finger. It became badly infected and I had to go to the hospital three days in a row for intravenous infusions of antibiotics as well as take two different prescriptions of antibiotics. The antibiotics made me really sick with stomach cramps and diarrhea. Thankfully my finger has almost healed and the antibiotics are finished! Jasper is on insulin twice a day and we are more or less back on track

Continued swimming twice a week. The highlight was yesterday when I went to the Sage Singers concert IN PERSON! I was singing with this group before Covid but haven’t been able to do the rehearsals since then. They sounded very good and I got to see many friends in person.

Doctors, doctors, and more doctors for me, too, but also throw in some physical therapy and home schooling. We’re trying to get insurance to approve MRIs of my spine so they can tell if I’m a candidate for surgery. It’s been a PITA and all I want is about a week of doing NOTHING!!!

My month in review had a lot of ups and downs for sure. It was my birthday month so that was nice then I went to get my hair cut and the woman cut it way way way tooooo short so I am not happy about that. I think by Christmas it should be where I wanted it to be in length!

We had odd weather in March. We had a snowstorm AND warm weather. Odd, even for Kentucky. Otherwise, the month was fine, nothing really exciting happened.
