When I was growing up all I wanted was to get married, have children, and be a mom. I wanted to have lots of girls so I could dress them in all the beautiful dresses. All of my dresses growing up were hand-made by my grandmother and each one had a special place in my heart. I was always on the lookout for a dress just like one she made. Then I found it and want to treasure it forever.
This little dress is everything to me a little girl’s dress should be and trust me Maggie only wears it for special occasions. I work hard at keeping it looking the it does now. Those little panties hanging next to it remind of the ones my grandma made for me that always matched my dress and I secretly took off in the bushes at school (the elastic hurt my legs!) It is not an easy task keeping this thing clean especially since Maggie thinks she needs to spill everything under the sun on it.
I could use regular detergent but like Maggie has sensitive skin and I have to be very careful. I use Dreft because it is the one detergent that I know I can trust on her clothing that won’t irritate her skin. When I first had children my mother told me I needed to use Dreft because it has been around forever ( 75 years to be exact) and that she used it and her mother used. I learned early on to listen to my mother when it comes to these sort of things (red socks that use to be white incident.)
The truth is this dress wouldn’t look as good as it does nor would Maggie’s skin be safe with any other detergent. Dreft can be used for the first 18 months to 2 years of your baby’s life but I plan on using it for a long time to come.
Whether you’re a first timer or the greatest, grandest mother of them all, there’s on thing moms have agreed on for over 75 years- Dreft makes your little one’s fabric feel as clean and soft as can be.
This is a sponsored conversation written by me on behalf of Dreft. As a part of this program I received the product, the opinions and text are all mine.
I live in a small Georgia town that you most likely have never heard of and I LOVE it! My house is more than full as I am a single mother of four & caregiver to my aging mother and uncle. Lover of all things Outlander. Goes to the beat of her own drum woman.
