Watching The Weather Channel a few weeks ago (my mother’s favorite channel) and surviving some storms in the last couple of years I began to thinking. I don’t have anything that I has all of our paperwork that I could grab if I needed to. Well when Master Lock asked me to review their 7148D document storage box, I knew I had discovered my Grab and Go Box!
The 7148D document storage box includes the following features:
- Locking file box
- 6″ (15.2cm) x 13-1/2″ (34.3cm) x 10-1/2″ (26.7cm)
- Durable steel construction stands up to daily use
- Key lock to protect and secure your personal documents
- Includes 2 keys
- Duplicate keys not available
The fact that it is a Master Lock product makes me feel all the better about it. I took mine and filled it things like copies of our important documents such as birth certificates, green card papers, etc. I placed somewhere that I could easily grab it in the event we have to quickly take cover or leave the house.
The box itself is very strong and can take being tossed into the car or our safe place if we need to run. The kids have managed to kick it a couple of times and it hasn’t even gotten a dent in it yet. I honestly feel much better knowing that has been taken care of. In addition to papers I put flash drives that have backup of my blog and all of our photos in water proof bags as well as phone chargers just in case.
Of course don’t forget that Master Lock Vault offers you a digital safe deposit box to store your digital files and records. This could be something that is great if you are ever in a storm and can’t access the information on your computer. It is something that you should not only consider but plan for.
I live in a small Georgia town that you most likely have never heard of and I LOVE it! My house is more than full as I am a single mother of four & caregiver to my aging mother and uncle. Lover of all things Outlander. Goes to the beat of her own drum woman.

I so need one of these. I’d be hard pressed to get all my important papers together in a hurry if I needed to.

I love this!! I need one of these to put our important papers in. We have a built in safe, but I don’t know that I would have time to pull everything out of the safe. I could have this and just grab and go. Thanks for the review!

What a great product to have a locking file box to keep all of my important papers that are confidential. Sounds like something I can really use.
