It is that time of the year again for the My Peak Challenge! If you followed me last year then you know that I was so proud of myself. This here Susan said we should do something different and we are certainly trying to. Before I get to what we will be doing this year I want to tell you a little about what the My Peak Challenge is.
My Peak Challenge is a global initiative, founded by actor Sam Heughan, that invites you to challenge yourself while raising money for blood-cancer research.
My Peak Challenge is about pushing yourself out of your comfort zone by challenging yourself to do something new — whether it be something physical (Sam ran the Los Angeles marathon as his 2015 challenge; others have signed up for 5K or 10K races or triathlons or have climbed mountains) or a non-physical challenge (finish that book you’ve been meaning to write, go vegetarian for a month or more, learn to sew or knit or sing).
The 2015 campaign raised £100,000 for leukemia and lymphoma charity Bloodwise, and Sam, Fight Camp Glasgow’s John Valbonesi, Bear Strength Clothing and The Box magazine have teamed up to do it again, only bigger and better this time. ~My Peak Challenge Website
Be A Part of the Challenge
The challenge is really easy All you have to do is set a goal and you the month of May to complete your challenge. You can set your goal to be whatever you want. It can be to run a marathon, learn a new language or anything else you r little heart desires. I am actually doing the MPC Prep Program this year simply because I am working on losing weight and getting healthier. Together Susan and I have the goal of walking a 10k! I would run one but I can’t run with my leg at all. The walking is going to be strenuous enough but I’m gonna do it. Follow along with us as we take part in this amazing challenge! I will be updating you all as we lead up to the actual challenge and once we are doing it and then complete it. You can follow along with us on all my social media as well.

Thank you! As I said last year we had a ton of fun with it and climbed a mountain. I know that a 10k isn’t the same but I’ve had some heath issues since last year and have to do what I can do.

What kind of training program is it? There’s little info on the website. What equipment is needed for the workouts?
Sarah says
I too would like to know what kind of training program and if we need special equipment. I would like to join but still unsure how this works. Thank you.
Rita says
There is no special equipment. The training program is very easy and is designed to show you things that anyone can do.
