This week I decided that I would join Tupperware. The reason behind the why is actually funny. My mother went to get some punch out of the fridge. Now, the pitcher I made it was one where you turn the top to an opening. the problem with the pitcher is that it’s difficult to turn once the top is on. So, I put it on with the opening ready to go. Needless to say she poured red punch everywhere. she got so mad! she turned around and looked at me and said “How many times do I have to tell you to stop being so cheap and buy a Tupperware pitcher?”
My hyena of a brother that I was on FaceTime with fell over laughing while I attempted to argue that a pitcher is a pitcher. The whole time my poor mother is covered in red punch accosting this poor pitcher so it couldn’t be used anymore. Needless to say the pitcher found it’s way to the great beyond via the trash can. Although the homicide my mother committed on it was spectacular.
I pulled on Tupperware on the laptop and then made the remark that the Classic Pitchers are $33 to $36 which is about $30 more than I wanted to spend. I wish I had a photograph of the glare my mother gave me. The hyena laughed harder. I’m sure he busted some vessel or something with all his laughing. There may have been some words that sounded more like a death chant than mumbling from the kitchen. I’m pretty sure my mother was plotting my demise.
Then my brother caught his breath long enough to put it into perspective for me. He said, “The difference between Tupperware and the other guys is the difference between buying a $500 car and a brand new car. You get what you pay for.”
He was right. I have some Tupperware pieces that my grandmother bought back when Tupperware first became a thing. They are still going strong. I love Tupperware but I had gotten so used to buying the cheaper stuff that I didn’t want to spend the money. My sister in-law came to my rescue by telling me that if I sold Tupperware I could get my own at a discounted rate. I didn’t know that. I signed up and ordered Ma a new pitcher.
Stay in the Know For Sales
I have a VIP Facebook Group that will keep you up to date with sales, host gifts, and much more. It is the best way to stay in the know. My plan to occasionally post here on the blog about it. I don’t want to be that person who suddenly begins posting about it all the time. To the point that readers begin to leave. Although for the first couple of weeks there may a few more posts than normal. There will be group only giveaways and a monthly mystery host party. I am working on planning those.
