I loved National Geographic growing up. We had a subscription and I couldn’t wait for it to come in the mail so I could devour it. Now they have National Geographic Kids with all sort of books that my kids love.
We received an assortment of books and let me tell you they could not have come a better time. We got them just as the kids were getting ready to head to their father’s for the summer. That means they will have something new to read and look at. Their dad of course will take them to the library but this will keep them entertained.
The National Geographic Kids Almanac 2021 is for ages 8-12 and at $15 is a great deal. This is the latest installment of the New York Times best-selling almanac. It features all sort of animal stories, explorer profiles, attractions, and so much more.
As you can see it looks amazing when open! The pictures are so vivid and vibrant and it includes an Almanac Challenge 2021 — which inspires kids to reduce their plastic waste and encourage others to do the same.
The Explorer Academy series by Trudi Trueit is for ages 8-12 and run $17 each. Can just say that these covers are all amazing? Just look at them! I know we shouldn’t judge a book by its over but these make me want to read them. At the elite Explorer Academy adventure, danger, and a thrilling global mission await Cruz Coronado. This is where he and 23 other kids from around the globe train with the world’s leading scientists to become the next generation of great explorers. For Cruz there is much more at stake. These books have deemed “captivating” by the editors at Parenting.com and “exciting, fast-paced” by Booklist. There are currently four critically acclaimed titles available, two companion nonfiction activity books and hours of videos, games, and info on real-life explorers at ExplorerAcademy.com, Explorer Academy is the perfect way to keep kids learning, reading and engaged this summer.
The National Geographic Little Kids Big Book of Why for ages 3-7 and also only $15 is the first book you want to buy every toddler and young child. why you might ask? Because it is going to answer all sorts of questions for you that they are going to ask. For example, “What makes a car go?” ” How does mushy dough become a crispy cookie?” ” What does the doctor see in my throat?” If you have a toddler or young child you know what I mean. I can’t tell you how many times I say, we will have to look that up.
Recently it was “Why is is called a glove box?” I had no idea and the answer I gave was just a guess. I said because they probably put their driving gloves in there back when cars first came out. As you can see this book looks amazing as well. Little kids are going to love looking at this with you.
These books are all truly amazing. They are worth their weight in gold. You children get to be entertained while learning all sort of new things. For me it is a way to bring a little bit of my own childhood to them.

I remember my grandfather having a subscription my whole life. He even subscribed to the one they have on history when it came out then saved them for my oldest daughter who loves history so she could read them.
