Summer is slowly fading away (unless you are like me and live in the South where it is still as hot as sin) but there is still plenty of fun fiestas to be had. In fact this weekend is Labor Day weekend and if you are like me you will most likely be attending a barbecue or celebration of some sort. Well let me tell you all about a way to bring a little sparkle to your event with Nestlé® Pure Life® Exotics™ Sparkling Water.
Ma loves almost any kind of sparkling water. I mean this chica will drink it all day long if I let her so I knew when I was asked to review Nestlé® Pure Life® Exotics™ Sparkling Water I knew that if for some reason I wasn’t crazy about it then she would be. It was a good bet but I’m sad to say that she didn’t get a single taste because this stuff is GOOD! It is available in four different flavors; Mango Peach Pineapple, Key Lime, Strawberry Dragonfruit, and Tangerine. I must say that the Mango Peach Pineapple was my favorite but I honestly loved each and every one of them. In fact I know that I will carrying some along with me over the weekend to the fiesta that I am attending.
Nestlé® has a few wonderful tips that will help you with your summer parties and even on into the holidays. I mean lets face it those parties and get togethers will be here before you know it!
- Crowd source the menu. If you’re pressed for time, there’s nothing wrong with going the potluck route. Pick a theme, whether it’s cuisine from a specific country or the best dishes your mami made for you when you were a kid. You’ll end up with a bountiful menu and perhaps a new tip for how to mix up some of your favorite recipes.
- Keep the décor simple. Warm weather calls for outdoor parties and not a lot of fuss. String up some outdoor lights and create a simple yet elegant with mood with some candles. Don’t forget to invest in a few bug repellant candles as well. Your guests will thank you for it.
- Lighten up the drinks menu. Offer your guests some lighter drink options to keep them refreshed during the warm summer evenings. For a lighter twist to the classic mojito, muddle some fresh mint leaves and 2 slices of lime in a glass. Then add 1.5 oz. of your favorite rum and some ice. To cut back on the sugar but still maintain flavor, add some sparkling water, such as Nestlé® Pure Life® Exotics™ Key Lime. (See below for additional serving ideas.)
- Set the fiesta mood with the right playlist. No get together with family and friends is a party without the right music. Ask everyone to send you their 5 favorite songs or artists, or browse through Spotify’s Latino playlists, such as Latino Lounge of Top 25 Latino.
- Kick it up with a few favorite games. Just because you’re an adult doesn’t mean that you can’t have any fun playing games. Break out your old set of Loteria or invite friends to bring their favorite card or board games. How about stuffing a piñata for the adults with fancy candy bars, plastic mini bottles of booze or individually wrapped chocolates filled with liquor? You can even throw in a small gift card as the grand prize.
Not to mention a few tips that will help make your experience with Nestlé® Pure Life® Exotics™ Sparkling Water even more amazing!
- Add a little sabor to your ice cubes by freezing melon balls or berries in ice cube trays with a splash of Exotics Sparkling Water – it adds color and fun shapes to any drink!
- Serve Exotics Mango Peach Pineapple with scoops of sorbet in a champagne glass for a healthier take on an ice cream float. {I personally this will also work really well for the sorbet punch that you see a lot at weddings and showers. I bet it adds a little something extra special.}
- For a quick, refreshing alternative to agua de Jamaica, try adding hibiscus syrup to Exotics Sparkling Water in Tangerine. Serve over a large glass of ice!
- Turn a smoothie into a tropical sparkler. Add Exotics Sparkling Water to your favorite fruit smoothie for an extra twist of flavor and a refreshing kick.
I live in a small Georgia town that you most likely have never heard of and I LOVE it! My house is more than full as I am a single mother of four & caregiver to my aging mother and uncle. Lover of all things Outlander. Goes to the beat of her own drum woman.

I am trying to decrease my soda intake but love the bubbles of the drink. The Key Lime sounds like a good one to satisfy my need for bubbles!

Love this stuff! So much more appealing to me than my diet coke (which I gave up a year ago.) Good review!

I find that soda is too sweet. I love sparkling water and have been adding fruit to make it taste even better. I bet this would be really good.

I love sparkling water and can’t believe I haven’t tried these yet. I will definitely look for them in stores- I’m getting tired of the usual raspberry and mixed berry usuals. I love the tips at the end of this post for perking up the waters! I never thought about adding syrups! Yum!
