Did I tell y’all we have a new baby? Well, I didn’t have a new baby so much as my nephew and his girlfriend did. I can’t believe he is old enough to be a dad. I swear it seems just like yesterday that he was learning to walk. Normally I don’t feel old at all but I certainly do with this. I mean, when did they grow up?
That beautiful little bundle of joy made his debut in August and he is not yet a month old. I love that his little mouth is open in this picture! I have not been to see him since I was sporting a nasty sinus infection when he was born.
Ma has actually been to see him and she said he was so precious. She’s looking over somewhere else because hasn’t figured out how to look into the camera on the phone yet. God bless her. This is her first great grandchild and my brother’s first grandchild. He told Ma that he was too young to be a grandpa but I reminded her that he made her a grandmother when she was younger than he is now. He got over it quickly because I was talking to him on the phone recently and they came over with the baby. His words to me were “I gotta go someone much more important than you just came in.” Well, at least I know whee I stand.
My other nephew told me that him and his girlfriend have gone over to watch little James so his parents could get some sleep. Also apparently he likes to poop over dad while he is attempting to change him. The joys of parenthood! IT reminded me of a time that my younger brother and I had to keep our niece and she had a moment.
It wasn’t until that moment that I understood how devious babies could be. She was just over a year old and could stand up in her playpen. We found her pulling stuff our of her diaper and throwing it all over the room. That day, while funny now, was horrible! I never knew they would do that. Of course, Sam used to pee all over me whenever I changed his diaper. He would only do it to me too. He thought it was the funniest thing. No matter what I did to prevent it, he always made it happen. I loved hearing his baby laugh while he did that to me.
I live in a small Georgia town that you most likely have never heard of and I LOVE it! My house is more than full as I am a single mother of four & caregiver to my aging mother and uncle. Lover of all things Outlander. Goes to the beat of her own drum woman.
