No More Dirt Thanks to the Hoover WindTunnel {Review}

I never in a million years knew how dirty my floors actually were. I thought that my old vacuums (yes there has been more than four in the last three years) were getting the dirt up and the floors were cleaned. I am now both disguised and pleased with how my floors are. Two of my old vacuums still work while the others have bit the dust (no pun intended) and I have learned that size doesn’t matter when it comes to vacuums but suction does (get your minds out of the gutter!)

My first real vacuum of my own and not a hand-me-down was this little red beauty. It worked well at first and I thought it was picking up the dirt. I loved that it was lightweight and bagless. In fact it was great right up until it was time to get a new filter. I went back to the store that I purchased it at but guess what? They didn’t carry the filters for this model. So I checked several other stores only to find that I had to order it online and pay for shipping. I thought I could blow the filter out and make it last longer but you CAN’T do that. It blew dirt out all over the place so I was forced to spend $25.00 on the filter with shipping.

So I purchased this little handy vacuum. It was on sale and I thought it would be great for those little quick messes but quickly learned learned that they little filter in it had to be cleaned every single time you used it and God forbid you ever want to use it in more than one room at a time.

Then I was introduced to the Hoover WindTunnel and my life changed! The moment I took it out of the box I knew this vacuum was different. First it is very lightweight, I can easily pick it up with one hand. Second I love that it is self-contained in that the hose and tools all attach to the handle which can reach the ceiling easily (even for someone as short as me.)

I vacuumed my living room carpet and the truth is what I found after I opened the canister to clean it made me sick.  I have never had that much stuff from one small area in any other vacuum. Usually I get that much after several days of vacuuming the whole house. The WindTunnel has a suction power that you can feel the moment you begin to use it and I love that brush will stop spinning if you lift the handle into the upright position.

I also love that the brush area is clear and see-through because I was able to see the amount of hair that gets wrapped around the brush and needs to be cleaned off of it.  All of that in the picture is from the living room and apparently I am going bald as it all is the color of my hair and no one else’s. The other FABULOUS part is that the filter is washable! That’s right no more spending an arm and a leg or running all over town to find the replacement filter.

I am so pleased with my Hoover WindTunnel that I am never going to use any other brand again!
