No More Frump Mom: NuMe Curling Wand

Oct 23, 2011 | Rita

One of the main things (other than weight) that I have been doing to no longer be a “Frump Mom” is making sure that each and every day I get up, take a shower, get dresses, and fix my hair. I do not always put on makeup but I do fix my hair. Some days I straighten it and some days I curl it (as opposed to the frizz that it is naturally.) I have never been that good with curling irons and curlers  tend to make the frizz worst. So I thought I would try a curling wand. I have heard good things about them and wanted to see for myself. So when I contacted NuMe and agreed to work with me I jumped at the chance for a curling wand.

From NuMe website:

TESTING NuMe Curling Wand:

I received a 19mm curling wand to try out. The first thing I loved was the stylish zebra stripes. It made me feel glamorous just taking it out of the box. The idea behind a curling wand is that you wrap your hair around it and get a great curl without damaging your more. The is no crimping or pulling or tugging. It came with a glove so you could wrap and hold your hair without burning yourself as well.  It took no time what so ever for the wand to heat up and I was off and working.

Before

PROS of NuMe:

  • Fast and effective. I can curl my hair today and the style will last all day until I wash my hair again
  • Stylish. The wand itself is very stylish and affordable.
  • NuMe has a vast line of products. Everything form blow dryers to flat irons. They also have accessories.
After (It’s the same piece of hair I had to flip the picture)

CONS of NuMe:

  • Without it I go back to being “Frump Mom”

Sounds like a great product! The zebra print really makes this curling wand look chic. I've always worried that with these wands I would burn my fingers. Glad to know they supply a glove so you don't burn yourself!

Hhhmm… I think I’M a frump mom! I may have to get one of these! I’ve wanted a curling wand – my daughter will use her flat iron on my hair, but it’s a weird look for me. Thanks for the review!
