If you are searching for the gift for your difficult gift giving person this year then I have the perfect gift for you. It will help them with their bible study in a way they didn’t think they needed. I will be the first to admit that I have a hard time when it comes to bible study. So when I got the chance to check out the Old Testament Handbook I jumped on it.

There is so much to love about this handbook. First a few of the key features are that it is designed to last with high quality cloth cover materials and a sewn binding. There are two color choices; charcoal or sand. Both are beautiful and while this covers the Old Testament it is not heavy or bulky.

You aren’t going to be lugging a twelve pound book around. There is also a ribbon for marking your place without having to damage the book itself.

With the Old Testament Handbook you will get a full-color Bible handbook that honestly has everything you need to immerse yourself in your bible study. It is highly readable, highly reliable text of
the Christian Standard Bible (CSB). If you aren’t familiar with the CSB let me tell you that it translates the bible in the way we speak today. You don’t lose the meaning of the bible but you also aren’t attempting to figure out the meaning behind what you are reading. It is what I would call the modern day translation.

There are so many other features such as maps and word study. I will say I enjoyed that because it gave me the Hebrew word as well as the CSB translation of the word. It also tells me where it is used int he bible.

You get these tables that help pull things together better. It puts the things in one place and helps you understand them better.

You get lists of things like the plagues and the Ten Commandments. Again, having it put together this way helps you make better sense of things and have a deeper understanding.

Plenty of timelines that will help you keep events in order and know what happens when. Honestly all of this is such a small part of how helpful this handbook is. Whether you are a seasoned bible sturdier or just getting started for the first time you will love this. I wish I had something like this years ago when I began my bible study journey. It would have helped me so much.
