Pancakes and Bacon Cookies?

Dec 21, 2010 | Rita

You read that right! Pancakes and Bacon cookies. Where would you find such a cookie? From The Cravory of course! The Cravory has created over 950 custom cookies. If you can imagine it, chances are they can make it.I was sent a small assortment to try out and let me tell you I was blown away by some and not real sure about others. Not to mention the one I soooo want to try.

First up was Red Velvet. I loved it! It was like eating a piece of Red Velvet cake without having to worry I was eating too large a piece. Mixed in with the Red Velvet dough flavor was Guittard Semisweet and White Chocolate Chips with a little Cream Cheese Swirl.

Then there was Savory Rosemary Balsamic. Okay this is an acquired taste. For me cookies should be sweet. The dough flavor is Rosemary EVOO with fresh organic Rosemary, Cracked Black Pepper, Balsamic Syrup and a small hint of Lemon Zest. They smelled wonderful but weren’t my cup of tea.

The standard chocolate chip gets an overhaul with the Ultimate Chocolate Chip. The Ultimate Original dough flavor is packed with Belgium Dark and Milk Chocolate Chunks, Semisweet Chocolate Chips, and a sprinkle of Sea Salt. The sea salt does not take away from the sweetness of this cookie. In fact it somehow enhances it.

I did not try the Pancakes and Bacon cookie. I couldn’t bring myself to do it (it was a mental thing. I could wrap my head around the idea.) However I have a six year old cousin who eats cookies and bacon all the time so I gave them to him. His response was “You only have two?” So I will take that as they were good.

Finally the Birthday Cake cookie was like the Red Velvet. I got to have a piece of cake without the worry. The Confetti Cake Batter dough flavor was wonderful and the Guittard Vanilla Chips with Rainbow Sprinkles only add to festiveness of this cookie. Now the cookie I want to try so very much is the Mexican Chocolate Cookie. It has an Ancho Chocolate dough flavor and is filled with Cinnamon Chips, Cayenne Candied Pecans, and Guittard Semisweet Chocolate Chips. For those of you who have never had Mexican Chocolate you don’t know what you’re missing. Anyone want to buy me some?
