Partying with Yandy

It is almost time for the big Murder Mystery Party and I super excited. I can’t wait to see how well it goes although I am a little nervous. The fabulous folks over at Yandy helped me out a little bit.

If you are unfamiliar with Yandy they are a lingerie shop that caters to the woman who wants to look sexy. While they have items for the average size woman it is the fact that they have a full plus size range that first drew me to them. From the first day I have been a loyal Yandy fan.

I have worked with them in the past and have always loved every single product I have ever gotten. They are wonderful for a plus size gal like me. This time the costume I wanted for myself was out of stock so I step outside the box and got something for my sister in-law instead.

I received the Sophisticated Lady Flapper Costume for her to wear. Her part requires her to be a bit flashy and this looked perfect for the part. The deep wine color makes it dinner party appropriate. I was worried a little since we are doing British 1920’s and not American. There is a huge difference between the two which you will see later in the costumes.

I just love the fringe work here along the bottom. Did you know that fringe wasn’t really worn that much in the 1920’s? It’s true. In the 1950’s Hollywood adapted costume for the 20’s to look more like women were wearing at the time. That doesn’t take anything away from the sheer beauty of this dress though.

The detail that went into this costume is clearly seen in the neck line. It looks as though someone spent hours hand stitching everything into place. Each sequin is perfectly in place. They don’t fall off when you run your hands along them either.

The back has a little gathering but not enough to make a difference in how the costume looks. I can’t wait for her to wear this and to share the pictures of her in it with you all. This is something that y’all are going to have to wait for. The good news is that won’t be much longer!
