I received the product mentioned below due to my connection with Flyby Promotions and FamilyLife.
My oldest children are heading into their teen years (OH GOODNESS!) and to be honest I am a bit nervous. I remember my teenage years and about half of the girls I went to high school with had a least one child by the time we had graduated. I don’t want that for my children and didn’t do that to myself. Luckily for me I grew up with very strong morals and hope that I have passed those onto my children. However having some tools to help them along the way doesn’t hurt either. Such as the Passport2Purity (P2P) from FamilyLife which will help them as they navigate through the world of sexting, bullying, online stalking and moral defiance that is call being a teenager.
I received the Passport2Purity Getaway Kit which includes:
- (1) Tour Guide for the parent
- (1) Travel Journal for the preteen including 25 follow-up devotions
- (8) CDs containing 5 sessions, scripture memory songs and downloadable MP3s: Session 1: Beginning the Journey – Challenges, Traps, and Choices; Session 2: Running With The Herd – Friendships and Peer Pressure; Session 3: Ready For An Upgrade? – Changes in Him, Changes in Her; Session 4: Destination: Lé Pure – Setting Boundaries; Session 5: Crossing The Date Line – Seeing Dating Differently.
That’s a lot in one kit, right? It is an we spent an entire weekend going through the kit and spending some time together. This kit is designed for a mother and daughter or a father and son. That being said since I am divorced with Daniel it would be more like an uncle and a nephew. Everyone’s situation is different and it’s okay (in my opinion) to adjust the parental figure as you need to in order for this kit to be most effective in your preteen’s life.

I love that they’ve made this fun for kids. I really imagine the travel theme would appeal to teen girls. It is frightening to imagine my now 19 month old daughter as a teen. It’s great to know programs like this are out there.

What a great idea! My son is of dating age and my daughter will soon be. The more positive reinforcement they can get the better.

That looks like a great way to get parents and kids to communicate about this important issue. The visuals help for sure.

This is so wonderful, I’m a widowed mom of two. My son is 20 now but I wish I had this fir hus early years because he was bullied so bad we had to change schools. My daughter is 17 but I still believe we could benefit from this. I never knew something like this was available.
