Many couples have already planned their summer trips and one of the popular destinations is, of course, Spain and specifically Mallorca.
The island itself is small. You can get by car to one end of the island from another one in an hour or so. Mallorca is an island of contrasts and is a really good option for a couple who are looking for a little paradise.
The very first recommendations.
The northern part of the island is very different from the southern one. So, first of all, you should better take a car and go to travel. Traveling around the island does not take you much energy, traffic is not great, and road signs are more than informative. The only thing you should prepare for is that you have to overcome the winding road almost to all beautiful places.
The cities to the south of the island are not worth visiting: there is nothing to look at, just ordinary towns, like Santanyi and Campos. There are practically no parking lots, as well as attractions. In Santanyi, the most interesting thing is that even if you want to stay at a cafe, you will have to sit almost on the road, in a parking bay, marked by road markings in front of a few places. It is the ancient and small town.
Where are the most breathtaking views that are worth watching with a beloved one?
Calo des Moro. From this place opens a wonderful view of the bay and the sea with turquoise islets from the water. There is no usual beach but there is a small entry into the water, you should be careful because solid stones are already in a couple of meters in the water. Vacationers get used to spreading out their towels directly on the cliffs, on the rocks, in general, wherever they want. The truth is that there is a special kind of amateurs who are located higher on the cliffs, where the depth of the sea below is already big and just jump down.
There are no parking lots, but you can leave the car along the road (only where the roadside is not painted yellow, and carefully watch the inscriptions “Privado” – your car will be evacuated from this place).
Playa s’Amarador. It is a very beautiful beach with unforgettable white sand, which is in the park of Mondrago. Go there at least once, but take into account that you need to start your trip in the early morning: the beach is very popular, especially among the locals. There is a bar on the beach. The navigator will not show you the right direction, so carefully read the road signs, everything is clearly indicated there. The cost of parking is 5 €.
Port Pollenca. It is a very clean, beautiful small town that is right at the foot of the mountains. Going down from the mountains, you will find yourself in a place with wonderful beaches, equipped with showers and sun beds, and a pleasant, sandy entrance to the sea. This is the port where expensive yachts stand in the parking lot and are waiting for their eminent and well-known owners. The service level is corresponding. What else do you need for a romantic holiday with your beloved one?
The prices there are above average, but the food is very tasty. Restaurants and cafes are available for every taste: from restaurants “high” cuisine to pizzerias. So, in 80% of these cafes, the cost of a pizza starts from 17 euros. Interestingly, when parking near the waterfront, you will always be greeted by goats, who walk everywhere they want, without any obstacles (but there are many fenced territories for them on the island).
Mountain Serra de Tramuntana. Cap de Formentor is a beacon, located on the mountain, on the northernmost point of the island. The view is picturesque and breathtaking with a warm sea breeze. Looking at this bright blue sea, you will feel total pacification with nature. Thanks to our friends from date on natalydate.com for providing this article.
I live in a small Georgia town that you most likely have never heard of and I LOVE it! My house is more than full as I am a single mother of four & caregiver to my aging mother and uncle. Lover of all things Outlander. Goes to the beat of her own drum woman.

I’ve had the good fortune of being able to travel throughout much of Spain, on two separate occasions– but have never been to Mallorca. I’ve heard just a bit about it, and this post makes me want to learn even more! Even the photo provided gives me the feeling that this is a truly beautiful place.
Thank you for posting!
