As you all know we are a bilingual household. However there are few albums that are bilingual. Our children usually listen to music in either Spanish or English. There is of course Dora but they are a little old for her. So enter Moona Luna!
This is one of the best children’s Cd’s I have heard in a very long time. Moona Luna is the new musical project brought to you by the Latin-Alternative group Pistolera. If you are not familiar with group, that’s okay! Moona Luna is the first female led bilingual band of it’s kind. My kids love the music, it’s upbeat and fun. They sing along, which in this day of Justin What’s His Name being everywhere. This is refreshing.
The song list includes:
1.) ¿Quieres Bailar?
2.) We’re Gonna take A trip (Vamos A Viajar)
3.) Brinca, Jump!
4.) Mama, No Me Quiero Dormir (Mama, I Don’t Want To Sleep)
5.) Todas Las Comidas (All the Foods)
6.) Tomorrow’s Another Day (Mañana Es Otro Día)
7.) Don’t Ever Give Up
8.) Hay Que Trabajar (We All Have To Work)
9.) Cantame Una Canción (Sing Me A Song)
10.) De Colores (All The Colors)
11.) Te Amo (I Love You)
12.) Would You Like To Dance? (English Version of Track 1)
If you want your child to learn another language, listening to music helps. They learn the words without thinking about them. Moona Luna’s Piñata Party is a wonderful place to start.
Rita’s Rating:
I live in a small Georgia town that you most likely have never heard of and I LOVE it! My house is more than full as I am a single mother of four & caregiver to my aging mother and uncle. Lover of all things Outlander. Goes to the beat of her own drum woman.
