How many times do you pin something on Pinterest? Do you ever actually do or buy whatever the pin is? I do every once in a while. However I have decided to do something about that. I am going to actually do some of those things, create some of those outfits! Here is my first {P}inspiration, it is the famous sock bun!
Here is the original pin that pinned:

Here is my sock bun:
I have found with my hair that it needs to be almost dry into order to made the curls. If I am wearing the sock bun because I am being a bit lazy then I just take my damp hair and pull it up.
I live in a small Georgia town that you most likely have never heard of and I LOVE it! My house is more than full as I am a single mother of four & caregiver to my aging mother and uncle. Lover of all things Outlander. Goes to the beat of her own drum woman.

I am gonna have to try this. I love pinterest! In the summer I usually get a hair cut because it is way to hot. Maybe if I can learn this bun I can keep the hair. Thanks.

I remember doing this years ago- it is surprising me how many of the pins are older ideas- it turns out so pretty though and noone knows you have a sock on your head 🙂

I LOVE PInterest and have this same–or a very similar–tutorial pinned! I’m so glad to know this works. Of course, I won’t be using this technique on my fine, thin, short hair 🙁 But I plan to use it on my grand-daughter when I visit Texas in a couple of weeks. I love to pin recipes–I have some of yours pinned.

I should tell you all that I did not use the bobby pins or the rubber band in my hair. Not using these gives you that messy look that is so popular. If you want a more refined and put together look then you should use these.

I just tried one the other day. My hair is long and thick, so it got pretty huge.

Imagine the world if we actually all took action on everything we PIN… we’d all be so crafty!!
This is cute though… I wear a knotted bun most days because my hair is a pain to deal with… but this looks much more polished.

I like browsing Pinterest more than I like actually doing anything I find on there.
