About the Book:
On November 9, 1716, at the tender age of nine, John King became the youngest pirate in history. His mother tried to convince him that a pirate’s life was not for him. But the young boy travelling onboard the Bonetta, captured by the pirate Captain Black Sam Bellamy, could only see the flutter of the Jolly Roger and the exciting lives of the men who lived by the pirate’s code.
My Thoughts:
I am not usually drawn to pirate books, they just aren’t my thing. That said Pirate’s Apprentice:Code of Conduct is a book that made me glad I made the exception. It is very well written, engaging, and to be honest who wouldn’t want to read about the Jolly Roger. I think it is the only pirate ship name I actually know. I was thrilled to find that while it was what I imagine most pirate books are there was something more about the characters that kept me reading.Maybe it was the fact that it is all based on a true story.
I live in a small Georgia town that you most likely have never heard of and I LOVE it! My house is more than full as I am a single mother of four & caregiver to my aging mother and uncle. Lover of all things Outlander. Goes to the beat of her own drum woman.

It’s hard to imagine the pirate life being appealing, but I suppose each person finds adventure in their own way. Hopefully, it’s just a robbing from the rich and giving to the poor kind of pirate’s life, but I doubt it…
