PortaPocket Perfect for Walking

May 31, 2013 | Rita

PortaPocket

One thing I discovered not too long ago is that when I am walking I need something to carry my phone and keys in. I had one of those armband things which worked great until I lost weight in arms and now even as tight as it will go I have to keep my elbow bent to keep it up. I thought about a fanny pack but I don’t want to carry a bunch of stuff. I can put things into the stroller but then I have to take it all back out again. This is not something I wanted to do either, not to mention if it was just me walking I would look stupid pushing a stroller to hold my few things.

Large PortaPocket

I knew my problem was solved when I discovered PortaPocket and they agreed to work with me.  I received two different sizes, one that fits around my arm, wrist or ankle, and one that will fit around my thigh or calf.  It stays put and doesn’t make me sweat which is perfect when you are out walking and running around in 100 degree weather. The smaller PortaPocket is perfect for my ID, keys and credit cards while the larger one is great for all of that plus my phone.  I put the two straps together so they would fit around my waist so I could have things a little more within reach but I am getting ready to purchase the waist strap.

Small PortaPocket

PortaPocket is perfect for busy moms, when you are working out, or even those moments when you have to wear a fancy dress with no place to put your phone. In those cases you can put the PortaPocket on your thigh and have your keys and phone close by. I would turn off the ringer though because pulling up your dress to pull out your cellphone might not be the classicist thing to do.
