Guest/Sponsored Post Guidelines

Please read all the guidelines below BEFORE you submit your article.

Rita Reviews is an eclectic blog with FOUR main categories:

  1. Blogging & Business
  2. Life & Family
  3. Product Reviews & Giveaways
  4. Southern

While we accept a wide range of articles and are open to discussing any type of article that you have in mind we ask that your article fit in one of our categories. This is super important and if you need a better clarification of the sort of articles you will find in each category check out our index.

Please be aware that we currently are not accepting product review articles. If this changes at a later date we will let everyone know.

Guest or Sponsored Post

  1. Guest Posts are posts from other bloggers, writers, famous or upstart, that want to post their words, advice, or tips on Rita Reviews. The sole purpose of a guest post is to provide a link back to the author of the post. These posts are free and posted at my convenience. Not all are approved and posted. These posts are allowed 2 links and those links MUST be to relevant information about the article. Links to businesses are considered sponsored. A link to the author may be listed in the bio which is required for these posts.
  2. Sponsored Posts are posts from companies (or those who represent them) wanting to promote their brand, product, press release, or other piece of content on Rita Reviews. The sole purpose of a sponsored post is to promote a company or brand. I charge for these sort of posts. They are allowed a total of 4 links. I offer discounts for multiple posts.

All Articles MUST Be:

  • Family-friendly
  • At least 500 Words in length
  • Adhere to ALL guidelines listed below
  • Your post must be original and have never been published before on the Internet (we will check)
  • You  also must agree to not publish the post anywhere else (i.e., in your own blog or as a guest post in other blogs, we will check)
  • We will format your post so that it blends with the formatting currently used on Rita Reviews.
  • All links are NOFOLLOW unless we at Rita Reviews, decide to make one dofollow. We will NOT go back and change a link.
  • We will link back to another Rita Reviews article if you haven’t.

Image Guidelines

Images are 800px wide if you choose to send us one please. We will create the featured image using our fonts and branding.

Link Guidelines

Links are checked regularly to ensure they are properly working. In the event a link isn’t we will attempt to correct it and add the link to our watch list. If a link doesn’t work for three months consecutively it is removed. Links more than three years old may be removed if no longer relevant.

Rita Reviews Will NOT Accept

  • Articles that are obvious link grabs
  • Requests for additional “work” (i.e. sharing multiple times on social media, providing analytics, etc) We share every single article posted across social media at least once. We do try to share it multiple times and set up shares for months later.

Submission Guidelines

If you have a post that meets the guidelines above, fee free to send it to me on the email rita(at)ritareviews.net. We ask that you include the post in the body of the email itself, or as a .doc attachment. Please Put GUEST POST SUBMISSION or SPONSORED POST SUBMISSION in the subject field.
