The New Year is now in full swing and many of us have begun our resolutions. I have several that I have shared with you all and some that I have kept to myself. One thing that I hope we can all work on more is praying in the New Year. I have discovered (maybe later than I should have) that prayer works more than I ever imagined it could.
I am spending time praying every morning and night each and every day. There are even other times throughout the year when I say a quick little prayer. Like when I had to go to Walmart the day after Christmas to return something and wanted to just slap someone.
I told God to please give me the strength to get through that hot mess and make it home without losing my temper. I did make it home without losing my temper and managed to get the things exchanged that I needed to. Although they didn’t have what I needed, I did manage to find something that works well instead.
My prayer request for this week is that everyone takes a little time (if only 1 minute a day) to say a quick prayer for all those who leave their requests below and for all those who need a little prayer but aren’t able to leave their request.
Please leave your prayer requests below.
I live in a small Georgia town that you most likely have never heard of and I LOVE it! My house is more than full as I am a single mother of four & caregiver to my aging mother and uncle. Lover of all things Outlander. Goes to the beat of her own drum woman.

We all need to pray more, I need to set aside some time for myself and God, it’s long overdue.

I love your prayer request! I think if more people would slow down and just take a minute to peay on situations like yours, there would be so many less rude people in the world. I find for myself just taking that one minute to pray and seek a little clarity it helps me a ton.
My prayer request for the week is the same as yours. I would like people to take a minute to pray. I would also like them to remember “Do unto others as you would have done to you”.

I know that I need to pray more. You do have to ask to receive if you don’t ask how can God answer your prayers. God always answers our prayers maybe not in ways we expect because his ways are higher than ours. He always does what is best for us and for his purposes which is of course more important than ours.

If all we were to look to God each day through prayer our serious prayer life is the best food for the soul pray that we seek God more each day.

I really need prayers for my mother. She is going through a rough patch with my aunt (her sister) and its causing a severe rift between them that could cause them to tear apart permenantly.
I hope God can heal the wounds these two have inflicted on each other and that they may grow stronger in the relationship with each other.

My prayer request is the same for this week. I am still waiting to hear back from a job interview; I know that God works in his own way. And maybe I need to move on, so my prayer is for me to find the patience until God reveals to me the opportunity that will pan out as I continue my search. I like the idea of praying more each day. I will do that; I know I need to.
Oh, and don’t feel bad about wanting to “slap somebody”. I have noticed more and more that people are very rude in general. It surprises me. I think people are not accountable for their behavior… a lot to do with the fact that we live in big towns/cities. Just think of it, if you lived in a small town, do you think your neighbor would cut you off in traffic/ act inconsiderate towards you? Likely not.

need to pray every day of the year to have more communication with our God and thus be happier and blessed by him.

This is beautiful! I’m so happy to see your faith-filled blog!
I am going through a VERY hard time of separation right now.
I am having a hard time with walking by faith and not sight.
I have barely eaten in 2 months(lost 20 lbs), need to find my strength to be SUPERMOM for my daughters again. I have no car, and need to find a 2nd job ASAP. How do you not cry in a job interview when your hope is gone?!
Much love and thanks!

I know what you mean. I have been there and not so long ago. My marriage has fallen apart and my faith has been anything but perfect. All I can say to you is that it will get better. Take it one day, one moment at a time. I will be praying for you.

Please know that I am praying for each and every one of you.
