About the Book
After a year at the king’s palace, Miri has learned all about being a proper princess. But the tables turn when the student must become the teacher!
Instead of returning to her beloved Mount Eskel, Miri is ordered to journey to a distant swamp and start a princess academy for three sisters, cousins of the royal family. Unfortunately, Astrid, Felissa, and Sus are more interested in hunting and fishing than becoming princesses.
As Miri spends more time with the sisters, she realizes the king and queen’s interest in them hides a long-buried secret. She must rely on her own strength and intelligence to unravel the mystery, protect the girls, complete her assignment, and finally make her way home.
My Thoughts
Having not read any of the other books we didn’t really know much about the characters or place but that of course did not take anything away from this wonderfully amazing story. While it is not a stand alone book you can figure enough out in the story line to understand what is going on and who is who. Victoria loved reading this and I actually caught her reading in the middle of the night (who am I to make a comment!) This was a very charming story.

I live in a small Georgia town that you most likely have never heard of and I LOVE it! My house is more than full as I am a single mother of four & caregiver to my aging mother and uncle. Lover of all things Outlander. Goes to the beat of her own drum woman.

I love that you caught Victoria reading it in the middle of the night! That is always a good sign that they like the book. This does sound like an interesting story. I am sure my daughter would want to start from the first book though. I’ll have to check it out. Thanks!

I am on the hunt for new books for my daughter! I’m not sure if she would be interested in this series but I will show it to her. She reads a lot and wants a new series to try.
