Nonetheless, pregnancy can truly be a joy if you let it. Below are a few products that can help.
Products to Make your Pregnancy More Enjoyable:
- Body pillow: Uncomfortable night’s sleep is one of the most frequent complaints of pregnancy. The belly gets in the way and then the back begins to hurt. However, A high-quality body pillow can help promote a more comfortable night’s sleep as its gigantic sausage shape can allow you to sleep in a more fetal position. Sleeping in a fetal position can enhance relaxation and encourage REM sleep.
- Cute, comfortable and supportive clothing: Traditional maternity clothes tend to get the reputation of being really unattractive. However, maternity clothes are quite comfortable and supportive, and supportive-comfort is just what you need. Look for cute and comfortable pieces that won’t make you feel tight and restricted. Snag flowy dresses and blouses, yoga pants, supportive bras, easy slip-on maternity shoes and leggings to help increase circulation while supporting your growing belly and deterring swelling.
- Natural body oils: Pregnancy is the time when you should give up the synthetic body oils and lotions in lieu of more natural versions. Chemical-based skin care can encourage clogged pores as well as a toxic internal environment. Natural body oils can enhance moisture and combat stretch marks while keeping pores open and posing no toxic risk. Also, natural body oils that are infused with pregnancy-safe essential oils can help reduce stress levels.
- Natural morning sickness relief: Morning sickness can occur anytime during your pregnancy as your hormones change and your stress levels go up and down. To avoid morning sickness, make an effort to stay away from greasy and fatty foods, as well as caffeine and synthetic sweeteners. Some natural morning sickness relief include acupuncture as well as increasing your intake of vitamin C and zinc, getting lots of sunshine and sipping on ginger tea.
- Fetal doppler: Renting or purchasing a high-quality fetal doppler can help ease your worries and make your pregnancy more enjoyable. Whenever you feel like it, you can nosy in on your baby and listen to his or her’s healthy heart beating and hear the swishes of movement.
- Meditative music: Listening to soothing meditative music during your pregnancy and beyond can help relieve stress while enhancing a zen-like internal atmosphere. You can also put the speakers close to your stomach for your baby to listen and be calmed by the music.
- Lots of water: Dehydration during pregnancy can cause the dreaded pregnancy-brain as well as loss of energy and constipation therefore it is important to stay hydrated with lots of water.
- Prenatal workout: Invest in a good prenatal workout video and make an effort to workout at least four days a week. Working out during pregnancy can help the release of good-mood endorphins while also helping to facilitate detox.
- Spa days: You, like many other pregnant women, may go through a period of feeling “ugly”,”fat” and “frumpy”, spa days are the perfect remedy for that. Set up a few spa days during your pregnancy to get pampered with foot rubs as well as facials, hair do’s and massages – you deserve it!
Pregnancy is a gift that you can either choose to enjoy or choose to dread. Make the best of the aches, discomfort and pain during these long nine months knowing that when it’s over you will have a little piece of heaven to love unconditionally.
I live in a small Georgia town that you most likely have never heard of and I LOVE it! My house is more than full as I am a single mother of four & caregiver to my aging mother and uncle. Lover of all things Outlander. Goes to the beat of her own drum woman.

I have to say the pillow is a must have, when I was pregnant I had so a hard time getting comfortable when sleeping, so my husband bought me this huge pregnancy wrap around like pillow, and it was a blessing, I still use it even though I am not pregnant, its like a big cloud that cuddles you.

This is a great list! Ginger tea was a total lifesaver for my morning sickness. I also used vitamin C losenges. A big body pillow allowed me to get some sleep toward the end- I wouldnt want to be pregnant without one!

These are all awesome tips! I know for me morning sickness was a 24 hour event. I really recommend looking into natural solutions for it. Plus I kept saltine crackers on my nightstand and ate a few before I even got out of bed. It helped a lot.

Good advice. I found a body pillow greatly increased my ability to sleep. And having cute maternity outfits was so important, even if a lot of my clothes came from Target!
