This post is part of a sponsored campaign with Latina Bloggers Connect and the Allstate Foundation. However all opinions expressed are 100% my own.
Did you know that domestic violence affects one in four women in their lifetime? That is such an unreal number! Do you know anyone who is the victim of domestic violence? I don and although I will not mention her name here for her own privacy I know how hard it is for someone to speak up. No, it is not me but I had to watch on the sidelines while someone I knew and cared about was a victim everyday. It was very hard. What is even harder is that only about half of Americans say they would know how to help a victim of domestic violence.
October is Domestic Violence Awareness Month, us Latina Bloggers are proud to be telling you about The Allstate Foundation’s Purple Purse Campaign to help give a voice to this issue. The Purple Purse is the Allstate Foundation’s symbol of domestic violence is making it easy to help take action against domestic violence.
Purple Purse: Pass It On
The Allstate Foundation will donate $5 each time a purse is passed. Simply “pass the purse” by going to PurplePurse (or click the image)and entering the virtual purse code below along with your zip code into the map shown. It’s that easy to help bring awareness to domestic violence.
If we all work together we can help bring more awareness to this very serious issue. Be sure you follow me on Instagram because I will be passing my actual purple purse on over the weekend and sharing the pics! You can learn more about Purple Purse: Pass It On on Facebook. Don’t forget to click the image above and enter the code so that you “pass” the purse.

What a great way for everyone to join in and bring more awareness to such a big issue. I love when big companies give back to great causes like this. Thanks for passing it on.
