It’s that time again! Time for another Rain Rain Go Away Giveaway Hop! I love doing these hops and I have to send a huge thank you to The Mommy Island and The Kids Did It for putting together this amazing hop each year. It is always such fun and love  bringing my readers so many awesome giveaways and blog. There are plenty of blogs for you all to check out during this hop.

One of the things that my entire family loves is our Amazon Echo Dot. It is so great and we love it still to this day. WE got a couple of years ago and I will tell you it is the perfect Alexa device. It is small enough that it blends well with any decor but powerful enough to handle anything. I will tell you that my uncle loves this thing! I swear his favorite words are “Alexa, what’s —-” Whatever it is that he is looking for. Most of the time it is the weather.

We use it to set timers for time outs or when we are cooking. I play music on it  while I am cleaning. The kids look up all kids of stuff and I have even ordered items a few times on it. I love being able to just ask Alexa to handle that sort of stuff for me. I am careful about the ordering though.  I don’t want poor Alexa to not understand my southern slang and order ninety packages of something.

You will notice (aside from the fact that I need to dust…pretend you don’t see that) that the red light is on meaning her microphone is off. We leave it off unless we are using it. That is so the kids can’t go all crazy ordering things they feel they need. It is on a shelf that only the adults can reach for that very reason. Especially now that the twins understand who and what Alexa can do. When they see something they like on television now they start yelling “Alexa!” I can see all the crap I would have delivered daily if they could actually order stuff.

All of that aside we do love our dot and I know that someone out there will love one as well. That is why I am giving one away. This is perfect if you have a small space. Maybe for a college kid or you want something smaller than the others that are available.
