I found this list of questions somewhere a few years ago and made a note to do them here on the blog. However, I never got around to it for whatever reason. So when I was setting things up for this series I knew that I would do one maybe two days of these questions. There are 100 of them but I’m not sure how many I will do in a post. That is why I thought I might divide it up and do 50 today and 50 another day. Here we go.
1. Are you a morning or night person?
It depends. I go through periods where I can get up super early and get things done with no problem. However, there are weeks where I barely can make it out of the bed if i don’t have to until well after 10 am.
2. Are you afraid of the dark?
I am actually! Which is so weird to me but I once sat on the stairs of our house for hours because I heard a noise in the kitchen and was too afraid to look around the corner to see what it was. It’s the unknown for me that scares me the most. Also, Ma loves horror movies and makes me watch them with her.
3. Are you an extrovert or introvert?
An introvert. I’m the girl that will bring a book everywhere and honestly hope that no one will talk to me at all.
4. Are you double jointed?
Not at all. I have arthritis and could only imagine how horrible it would be if I was double jointed. I can stick a whole apple in my mouth though if that counts for anything. Don’t ask how I know I can do that.
5. Are you left or right handed?
I am right handed, although I can write (not well) with my left hand. I have no idea why I can write with my left hand, I just do it sometimes. I always have but like I said it not well in my opinion.
6. Are you more of a tidy person or a messy one?
Okay hear me out, this depends. My normal day to day I am overly neat. I have OCD which dictates that things remain in order. That being said, my closet is a hot mess that I clean once a month and my desk drawers look like a tornado went through there. I clean those once a week.
7. Are you on time or always late?
Always on time, in fact I am a little early most of the time. It is something that I learned as a child. When my father said we are leaving at 7 am he meant we are pulling out of the driveway at 7 am. Not 7:01 or 7:15 but 7:00 on the dot.
8. Are you ticklish?
Yes I am. I am the pee my pants kind of ticklish. In fact, I sneeze too hard or laugh too hard pee my pants kind.
9. Can you curl your tongue?
I can actually. I can curl it all the way in which neither of my parents can do. It used to frustrate my dad when we would ask him to try because he couldn’t do it.
10. Can you ice skate?
I can but not well any longer. I shattered my ankle bone years ago so skates and heels are something of the past for me now.
11. Can you wiggle your ears?
No, and you should know that I tried to do it the entire time I was writing this answer.
12. Coffee or tea?
Tea! I love hot tea and always have. I used to drink coffee but not very often and never really cold coffee.
13. Cookies, cake or donuts?
If the donuts are Krispy Kreme or old fashioned ones then donuts every time.
14. Did you ever participate in a talent show?
I have done several of these. The most memorable one was in middle school where I was the plop plop in an alka seltzer skit. You remember; plop, plop, fizz, fizz oh what a relief it is!
15. Did you go to prom?
I did go prom. Originally I was going to go with an ex but I ended up going with a friend. He said don’t go with someone you don’t like, go with me instead. We had a lot of fun. It is one of my best high school memories.
16. Did you like school?
I did like school for the most part. I was more than a little nerdy so school was great for me.
17. Do you believe in ghosts?
Yes, I do. I may have had an encounter or two as well. It all depends on how you look at it. A couple of nights after my father had passed away I was sitting up in the living room. I looked over into the front room where the door was and the door opened then closed. We actually didn’t use that door because when you pulled in you ended up at the back door.
I always wondered if I had fallen asleep and dreamt of the door opening but it felt very real. I went to shower and then as I was walking out to cross the hall to my room out of the corner of my eye I saw someone sitting in my dad’s chair in the living room. Thinking my mother had gotten back up I went there only for the room to be empty.
18. Do you bite your nails?
I used to. Now I don’t but my nervous habit used to be biting my nails. It took a lot to stop doing that.
20. Do you consider yourself a good cook?
I am a wonderful cook! I have always enjoyed it.
21. Do you enjoy dancing?
I do although I am not very good at. I will even dance when there is no music.
22. Do you enjoy DIY or crafts?
Sometimes. I have to be in the mood for them for me to enjoy them.
23. Do you forgive easily?
Sometimes a little too easily. I just don’t like conflict so I will forgive first.
24. Do you have a nickname?
Rita is my nickname!
25. Do you have any allergies?
So many allergies although I didn’t have near as many when I was younger.
26. Do you have any phobias?
Yes! I am afraid of fire, to the point that I don’t know how to strike a lighter and will only use a match if it a long one. When I was younger I used to tell my parents I didn’t want to go back to the cemetery and would scream every time we went near one. To this day I have the heebie geebies when I get near one.
27. Do you have any piercings or tattoos?
My ears are pierced.
28. Do you have children?
I don’t have any biological children but have two step children and two others from my ex’s affair. Although I no longer have custody of any of them. I helped raise them so in my heart they are mine.
29. Do you have pets?
Sadly, we had to recently put our dog to sleep. He was old and just not doing well any longer.
30. Do you have siblings?
Two brothers (one older and one younger than me) and a sister (who is younger than me).
31. Do you prefer dogs or cats?
I love both but I am allergic to certain breeds of cats so I have to be careful.
32. Do you prefer Mac or PC?
PC but that is because I haven’t really used a MAC.
33. Do you prefer the beach or the mountains?
Mountains every single time. The beach is nice don’t get me wrong but there is something about the mountains that calls to me.
34. Do you prefer to bath or shower?
Shower in the morning, quick shower at night and then a good long soak in the bath. I’m old and have to soak those muscles and joints to keep working.
That was a lot of questions. Stay tuned for part two next week and see what else you can learn about me.
I live in a small Georgia town that you most likely have never heard of and I LOVE it! My house is more than full as I am a single mother of four & caregiver to my aging mother and uncle. Lover of all things Outlander. Goes to the beat of her own drum woman.

This was a fun read. I can roll and fold my tongue, and no one else in my family can.

I really enjoyed reading this one. I am so very sorry for the loss of your father. I believe he is watching over you cheering you on. We have so much in common, if I am on time I feel like I am late.

I’m a cat person who is afraid of the dark. I sleep with a light on, and the TV goes all night long. I am an early bird and a tidy person.
