I published this quick adult drink recipe back in 2014 but it is still a hit today. With the 4th coming up fast it is sure to be a hit with all of the adults in your life. At least those who drink. You could do it without the alcohol adding fresh raspberries instead of coulee to the Sprite for those who don’t drink and for kids if that that is something you want to try.
It’s officially summer, and it’s time to break out your cocktail shakers and get ready to host those summer BBQs! Here’s a classic drink with a twist, made from scratch if you so wish, or with pre-bought mixers if that’s more your style. Check back soon for our recipes for homemade simple syrup and sweet and sour mix. After your ingredients get assembled, this drink comes together very easily. It is refreshing, sweet, and a little sour! Try it today!
Ingredients
- 1 ½ oz silver tequila
- 2 oz raspberry coulee
- 2 oz sweet & sour mix
- 1 oz simple syrup
- Sprite to fill glass
- Sugar for rim
Instructions
Rim glass with simple syrup, and then edge it in the sugar. Mix all other ingredients and stir.
Recipe Notes
For the wow factor add a few fresh raspberries to the glass and a lime wedge to the side of the glass. If you really want to get fancy you could freeze the raspberries in ice and use them that way. Another goo tip is to soak the raspberries for a day in whatever alcohol you are using, in this case tequila. However, be sure no one who doesn’t drink or kids get a hold of them!
I live in a small Georgia town that you most likely have never heard of and I LOVE it! My house is more than full as I am a single mother of four & caregiver to my aging mother and uncle. Lover of all things Outlander. Goes to the beat of her own drum woman.
