RAVPower: Battery Power on the Go

Jan 21, 2014 | Rita

Disclosure: I was not financially compensated for this post. I received a sample of the product for review purposes. The opinions are my own, based on my personal experience with the product.

RAVPower RP-PB03 External Battery

I have been talking a lot lately about taking my gadgets on the go with me. While having internet and such is one very important the most important thing for a blogger or anyone for that matter is to have a working cellphone. To have a dead battery could spell disaster. RAVPower gives me the battery power I need when I need it.

RAVPower sent me their RP-PB03 External Battery to try out and review and as you can see it is fairly small. Small enough to fit in my purse, laptop bag, carryon case, or other bag. In fact I could even put it in the glove box of my car that way it is always with me, in the car at least.

It comes with the RAVPower RP-PB03 External Battery; USB Charging Cable; 1 free flannel bag; detailed using instruction. 1 Year Warranty and Money back guaranteed at any time within 30 days of purchase. It is as simple as plugging in your phone. Like I said it is great for when you have a flat tire in the middle of a rain storm after dark and realize your cell is dead. It happens and has happened to me. The downside is Apple Adapters are not included but I simply used my charger I already was using.

Some of the phone it is compatible with are: iPhone 5S, 5C, 5, 4S, 4, iPad Air, 4, 3, 2, Mini 2 (Apple adapters not included); Samsung Galaxy S4, S3, S2, Note 3, Note 2; HTC One, EVO, Thunderbolt, Incredible, Droid DNA, Motorola ATRIX, Droid, Moto X, Google Glass, Nexus 4, Nexus 5, Nexus 7, Nexus 10, LG Optimus, PS Vita, GoPro and More. So chances are your this will work with your phone.

You can order your RAVPower RP-PB03 External Battery at Amazon.

Ah, now this is what I need. I had commented on your NetGear review but what really interested me about that product is the power boost feature. I NEED one of these external batteries, especially when I’m on vacation with my family. We burn through my cellphone’s battery in no time!

This would be such a wonderful thing to have. I would love to get one for each of us! Looks like it’s compatible with just about all of the phones that most people would have! Thanks for the heads up!

my friend was actually using one this week and I was trying to figure out why she was attaching one phone to another until I realized it was an external battery charger. I wish it was a bit smaller and more portable.

Love this little baby and tried to win one a while back. Have my eye out for a sale since it sure would be handy as backup. We are power hungry aren’t we?!

This is SO COOL! I am finding that my battery is dying a lot more quickly now-a-days…I’m definitely going to have to look in to this!!

This would be helpful for the moments when you’re in another city and need just a little more power on your mobile device. My first time in Chicago, I was riding the subway by myself, on my way to meet friends, when my mobile phone died and I couldn’t get ahold of them. While I ended up finding them and everything was fine, it was a bit intimidating to navigate the city without the ability to call someone, should something happen. What’s worse is that the majority of my contacts are in my phone and I no longer worry about memorizing phone numbers. So, if my mobile dies, my phone book goes with it.

One thing that would have been helpful in this review is to provide a little more technical detail, such as how much power the device delivers and how many re-charges it can offer on one charge, itself.

This item would be a great gift idea for my husband who travels. Although there are some plugins at airports, being on a trolley or running for a plane with little time can not always allow the time to sit and charge up. So happy to look into this as a bday is coming up in March! Thanks for the info on this one!

Sounds like I really needs this. I am always finding my phone on low battery. I can’t keep up with it and it seems to be low when I am heading out the door. I love the size.

I could see this coming in handy especially when you are traveling. This would be great for my husband.

I didn’t even know things like this existed – but I definitely need one! Great that you’ve highlighted such a useful gadget. Awesome post!

This could really be a life saver! Like you said, you are away from home, maybe night time and something has happened and YOUR PHONE IS DEAD!! Oh how many times I have been running around with a dead cell phone, I can’t even count the times and my hubby is even worse than me about that! I think I need to get one for him more than anything! hehehehe

Oh my gosh – I totally need to look into this. It’s so frustrating when my phone dies in the middle of the day, plus it’s really hard to manage work without it. Thanks for the awesome review.
